A Hallmark movie for a Republican family. Father shoots unlimited ammo with daughter, then with Father, then saves the world single handedly America style.

So you develop time travel, go back in time, and draft your parents to fight for you in the future? Why wouldn't you use this oppurtumity to prepare for the coming invasion? This movie is dumb.

This movie is trash

This war should've been fought almost entirely via bombers, atg missles, drones, and tanks. All important bases and facilities should be kept as small as possible with as many exit plans, vehicles, and bunkers as possible. Those things advantage was in densely populated warfare, which too bad for us is essentially any urban city. Anytime you have a roughly 100% casualty rate amongst ground units, even half that, the groubd units should be kept to an absolute minimum of as highly trained indivuduals as possible. They should've realized that strategic turrets operated inside armor via cameras or other heavy duty pritection should've been stationed anywhere and everywhere. Those things have essentially 1 or 2 weapons and none of which are on a mass destruction scale. It's simple, they fight infantry wars with a soldier that will always be bigger faster stronger and 100x more durable so your number over goal as a military is to not fight their war, do not fight a war based around mass infantry and troops.... and this comes from someone who's argued the need for infantry in other places than the comments section.

I am a volunteer knowing well the hazards of my profession. I will serve with the memory of those who have gone before me. If or when I am taken I pray that I have the strength to denounce, deny, and defy my enemy until i might see our victory.

My wife hates when i watch these movies.

Movie barely makes any sense, only way for the "time travel" to make any kind of sense is if its dimensional timetravel, where the actions of the "past" does not affect the future.
so they conscript and send random civilians with no training to a paralell universe 30 years in the future to try and aid them, in return they get knowledge and the means to fight them in their own universe.

The only way this piece of shit movie had a $200 million budget was that it was used to launder 160 million dollars, my 9 year old kid makes better modes in blender than shit shit hole

Not a deal breaker or anything but there was one big unanswered question. Instead of sending people forward to a losing battle, why didn't they send as much knowledge back as possible to make a stand when the enemy was weakest and humans were strongest. With the entire world on a war footing for decades before first sighting and knowing roughly where the enemy was going to pop up, they could have had literally a billion rifles there waiting.

Predator: Amateurs.

Yvonne Strahovski really brings home the father/daughter relationship and really, they both shine in those sequences. Very touching and changes the movie from a 3 star too a 4 star rating.
My third watch and like most of Chris Pratt movies, very rewatchable.
IMO, having Pratt in a movie is like printing money.

Love this movie, bought a special 4k version of it. Luckily I have my own home IMAX with a 30’ screen and can enjoy it like it was intended to be watched, even in simulated 3D it adds a new level of experience to the movie.

My son and I used to love watching movies together before he got killed last year by a driver not paying attention to the road hitting him on his left side head causing a grade 3 DAI, he passed 2 months and 4 days later.

Legit question, if she was from the future, claims to be us from the future and says “in 11 days all humans will be wiped from earth”… how is she able to come back in time when according to her, all humans are gonna be wiped out in 11 days ?

This is a bad teaser if i've ever seen one.

Spoiler................... When he said he was going to come back to get her.. That entire timeline would be wiped out. If he goes back to his time, and they kill the aliens, then the future of her being in the war would never had happened.
great Sci Fi movie, but gotta have a little bit of realism when dealing with paradox and time lines.

and here i was wondering. how the F... did they even come to earth.. they are dog(ish) aliens..
