Overspent on Fall Event - 1700+ FP Collection - GE5 Temple Benefits Forge of Empires Fall 2023

I didnt play for 3 years, and came back for the halloween event. encountered the same mistake grat buildings, didnt think about happinness. my question is; is it really that bad having your population unhappy? As far as i can tell only productions are effected and i just dont mind that (i have more than enough gold and supplies)? or I am missing something?

I hope now that we are halfway through Winter event that you've managed to stock up on Nutcrackers for the Mass Aid kits. It's really a must-have building at this point with so many small buildings to aid.
When you get around to remodeling your city, make sure to tuck away all the non-road required buildings in the corner somewhere. Looks like you have lots of space currently, but eventually you'll want to get those cider gardens and outposts and ToC away from valuable road real estate :)

I have all the fragment buildings apart from the fellowship smithy. So I am using bg on bouganvilea (that one for eagan resort from soccer). Now having 6 resorts (2 from the event, 4 build from scratch :D)
That is for me a better building than stomping festival.
Also using BG on 2 summerhold palaces because of jesters, that can produce finish all fragments, so u can using BG twice on 1 powerfull fragment building :).

The problem was you had a full FP bar. If you have 100+ FP and you auto collect, it will only collect the buildings that don't produce FP. So, you must have 99 or less FP to be able to auto-collect them all.

The winter event is a great opportunity to eliminate the aid/motivation problem. Nutcracker guardians produce 2 fragments of a mass self aid (30 needed for a full one). So, if you have 15 in your city you will always produce 1 mass self aid each day...then just use a mass self aid just prior to collecting. In the 2023 winter event you can get an upgrade to the nutcracker guardian which produces 3 fragments per day which will mean you need less than 15 of them. And, in a pinch, you can use your BG chances to get more. If you save your stars to use on a daily event giving nutcracker guardians you might have enough just from this event.

Good to have you back, always enjoy your content and your philosophy on the game. I've played for just over 3 years now, but am a late convert to the BG, mainly for the reasons you cite - all the fragments. It's gone from being a decent GB, to a must have high level GB now. And the chance to double guild goods (especially from the level 2 Tower of Champs) is huge now too, given the rising GBG costs these days.

I wonder whether Inno are looking at some of the much maligned and seldom used GBs and trying to force them back into use, like they did with the SBC and to a lesser extent DC with the increasing importance of blue attack stats. Happiness and Population GBs could start to become more important with the increase in high demand negative value buildings for these - such as the Jumpin Pumpkins.

Even the Silver League was good in the Fall event (and possible for free), since you got a L1 Grape Stomping Festival that also gives (half as many) fragments of the Autumn Vineyard. Same thing, just takes twice as long to get a new event building.

You can give up trying to find better friends. Eventually everyone hits this issue. I have over 275 buildings that require motivation. And I'm full free to play, I have gotten Gold League every event though. That means I need every single friend, every single guild member and 55 neighbours to aid me. That is never going to happen. Eventually there is only 1 option, 1 Mass Self-Aid Kit a day. Of course that is what the Winter event is for.

I didn't even have a Blue Galaxy, when all it was good for was Forge Points, so pointless in my opinion. However when Saint Patrick's event came along on beta I knew the meta had changed. I built it and leveled it to 91 straight away. I exclusively use it to double fragment collection.

For me, even after 24+ hours, I still have 200+ unaided buildings, in total I have 410 buildings that need to be aided daily. Note that this is in my 0 free tiles SAT every expansion city. Havent had a problem with happiness yet. Thankfully with this winter event, we can get nutcrackers for mass aid kits.

Even one gold league reward is game changing, but getting there is too hard. I lucked on one event and been so happy since.
