Also towards the end of the video you put the MQ instead of mr at $20,000 on the screen 😂 who is doing the computer editing work?

ОтветитьIve got a 6 speed mr gls. And absoulty love it. Had it two yrs. Ive driven the newer hilux and i through it noisey to ride in. Compeared to triton you can have the radoi up and still talk to anyone in the car. Hilux you spent more time rasing ya voice over all the road noise.

ОтветитьSome key points as an MQ Triton owner.
Eventhrough mine is an auto, the 3rd gear problem is generally fixed by Mitsubishi even vehicles out of the warranty period & that also applies to the problematic 4D56 engine on the earlier MN,
the MQ Exceed with a diff lock is the top variant in the MQ range.
No mention of possible DPF issues caused by either split intercooler hoses or faulty DPF sensors or even driving style.
As for the auto boxes themselves, they're an Asin unit which is owned & developped by Toyota with an external transmission cooler factory fitted.
As for the aircon, they don't have a condenser fan fitted from factory but the wiring is there because the overseas models has a condenser fan fitted.
I'm sure this plays a part with the aircon not cooling properly & I'm about to fit a fan to mine.
I’m in the uk and I owned a 2011 triton I had it for 14 years and it only had the alternator changed in that time. I did take it off road and most of its life it towed a caravan. Now I have the series 6 barbarian x and hope it lasts as long.

ОтветитьPurchased a 2016 GLS in April last year with 104k on the clock, has been serviced at a few different places during its life.
Has dropped out of 3rd on me a couple times since purchasing assuming due to the service history it would void warranty, Dropped it off to donaldas in maffra and picked up that arvo telling me a new gearbox will be fitted next month under warranty/recall.

Plenty of people that have had the 3rd gear pooping issue have them replaced by Mitsubishi regardless of being in warranty or not.

ОтветитьI own a MQ Triton Exceed 2018 model absolutely kitted to the moon with less than 100,000 kms, but it’s missing a very important mod (Catch Can).
It’s been a beautiful ride for the last few years, but it’s just had an exhaust manifold repaired under warranty when doing a major service worth $1300 and since then I have gone into limp mode twice with failed natural regenerations on the DPF and have since done 3 forced regenerations each costing $250 each. I have pulled off the intake and even ran some heavy duty decarboniser through the system. I’ve checked all the hoses and ran some aerosol DPF cleaner through the sensor hole to flush the system a bit, but after cleaning it, I took it out to the highway where the DPF failed its natural regeneration again.
The coolant has been absolutely chomped through with the engine getting stupidly hot, but I can’t find any major leaks. I’ve reset all the codes since doing the full clean just incase it was an old code causing the DPF fault, but if it does it again I’ll need to throw it back to Mitsubishi to have them look over it with a fine tooth comb.
Definitely trying to avoid replacing the DPF, but I genuinely have no idea what else it could be. If anyone has had similar issues, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
(P.S I’ve checked all the fluids and filters, there was no contamination as far as I could tell and no blockages either which was to be expected since it had only just been serviced)
We had a 2015 MQ Triton travelled 230,000kms awesome never let us down.We traded for XLT Ranger 3.2 awesome looking ute but mechanical rubbish. Every month at Ford dealer broke down numerous times. Ranger was crap. Starting problems sensor problems heaps of power but not reliable. Hoping to buy Hilux or new Triton

Cost $15k, was an absolute steal.
MQ came in the Exceed model too. Nicer leather interior etc. Great 5 sp autos too.

ОтветитьMy 2017 MQ GLS 140k is a beauty. Upgraded intercooler hoses, got a catch can, and maintained service intervals with my own oil changes sooner than recommended. Love her, no issues!

ОтветитьI have a 2009 Mn, 2 wheel and fortunately, the only problem I have had with it was the diff but it does have 380,000km on it and I have given it a beating so I'm impressed with how it's going can't wait to replace it with a lux

An MN Triton was on ASPW's channel 4xoverland doing the CSR. It was the most reliable vehicle with zero problems. Toyotas in the group had their troubles. I think 4WD 24/7 is after views. Damn, I contributed pharquet

ОтветитьI have a 2019 MR and it is a lemon, I have had to get a new gearbox. The drivers seat has splits in it. The paint has gone back to bare metal where you get in to the drivers cab. My intercooler is still leaking after I have changed the o rings and upgraded the hoses

ОтветитьI got a mq triton with the six speed manual bought it second hand from a dealership and therd gear was popping out so they put a strengthening kit in the gearbox haven't had a problem since
And it only cost $1200 as the dealer covers some with warranty
