I think of all these 9 tier lists I only disagree with a few placements (and then only by +- a half tier at most) which is seriously impressive, definitely one of the best tier lists out there, and always fun to watch.

Also, I want to add a comment defending EX+ Tezcatlipoca because you mentioned how you may have overrated him an he should have been EX, with the simple comparison of Double Tezcatlipoca and Double Koyanskya.

Only one of those 2 comps can 6 CE nodes regardless of enemy count and they can do it with any DPS.

I mean without Oberon double Tezcatlipoca is straight up better and even with it things are competitive depending on how developed your farming DPS is and the Node

And then he provides defense for CQs.

And that's not even getting to his DPS side.

All this and many lists prove is that the more good units you have, the less good the rest seem, and unfortunately, whether people want it or not, brainrot unironically sets in people who automatically indulge in their munchkin minmaxing. The Foreigner comments other than both Abigails especially, where people continually move to the meta and crap on past Foreigners. I remember where Hokusai was said to be really good, and now regardless of saying she is better than Abigail, she is said to be basically below average despite being in B. Doesn't help with the eternally fight between arts looping and buster monke'ing. Voyager I remember being valued but now look at the poor boy. Current state of the game is basically "great isn't good enough, you need 'break game over the knee tier'".


The "I don't use this one anymore" just feels like we have too many Servants at this point, and stops being about viability. So it ends up being meta meta meta. That said, even if I have a revulsion for how content creators can bend perfectly fine viable strats as trash because people don't get nuance, these do provide info that is good, so thanks for the breakdowns.

VAN GOGH THE MEGA CARRY

I've grailed my van gogh to 100 and have put crit and healing command codes on her. She has been my absolute favorite servant and I don't ever want to stop using her. When I get koyanskaya dark all I'm gonna do is farm with them. I love van gogh so much

I need clarification. Is the dmg per wave on these sheets per enemy or per entire wave?

Honestly Kiara can be one of the best farmers in the game but the setup required is extremely hard for f2ps. I'm f2p but super lucky. I use her as a farmer and usually hit for around 125k with double castoria and 200k with the arts down and defense down. But again this is with a setup of np3 120 2k Kiara double Castoria and mlb 100 kscope. That's just not feasable for most players.

Whew... is it insane to watch well over a few days worth of these tierlists? Yup. Did i watch through it all? Yup.

Loved all the tier list, watched them all from start to finish, not much to say on the placements for this one besides putting protea higher but i do hope they buff lady avelon at some point to make her skill 3 battery targetable so i can bench my castoria lmao, also the coming months is gonna be rough since i want koyan, summer kama and oberon so sq will be tight.

I get your argument on alter ego about why you think it’s a cbad class, but I don’t get why you really like ruler. In my opinion, I think the two class are not that different, like you said that established account will make alter egos worse because you have strong assassins, casters or riders. But, wouldn’t the same argument be true for rulers as well in the sense that if your account is already well equipped, you will probably have servants that are strong against the class you are fighting?
The only few cases that I think running a ruler will be more advantageous than running some other class is if the node is a mixed node of knights and cavalries, or a moon cancer node. But, then alter egos would also have a few cases that they are better too like mixed cavalries nodes or foreigner node.

Funny story about Van Gogh: during the impossible Woodrose fight in LB6, I didn't know you were supposed to lose it so I brought Van Gogh, Castoria, and Merlin.

Not only did Van Gogh break all of Woodrose's bars, including the ones he regenerated, she got him to proc guts MULTIPLE times before the comp finally broke and I lost. The combo of her monster crits and the terror on her NP made it insane.

Lady Avalon imo is only A+, my reasoning for this is because Merlin redefined the meta for Buster for YEARS and is STILL the only sustain Buster support, something Quick still doesn’t have.

In contrast, Tamamo is permanent and existed for most of the games history while LA is Limited while Castorias Super Invul exists and both of them kinda make LA irrelevant in the stall/sustain part of FGO’s gameplay.

Finally, while they’re not on the same list, Joan is a better stall Arts Crit Support overall with her first skill and she generates more gauge for the party per turn when LA only does that for the team once and 5% on NP which is kinda moot at that point. I will say cooldowns are huge for Joan but LA just feels like a rebrand, pointless cash grab of Merlin.

Now if her first skill was 50% Quick up instead of Arts? Instant EX+. The fact is LA slots into a role in the game that has already existed in two other top tier supports for YEARS and to get the best use our of her requires MORE COPIES for the NP gauge per turn. All she does is combine Castoria and Tamamo a little bit for some nice synergy and that’s it.

She’s still really good but due to the games history and the HUGE plethora of Arts Supports, she’s not necessary to the game at all.

Finally finished. Gonna miss these tier lists. I’d love to see you do a tier list of valentines gifts. Know it probably won’t happen, but there one of my favorite parts of the game and I’d love to see other people’s opinions on them.

Even with everyone agreeing with Van Gogh being EX+, I find so many people even misuse her too. So shes EVEN BETTER than half of you think.

If you're using Hide Hunter or Trifas on your double-Gogh team, you're misusing her. She 100% would prefer, say 15% quick up on a CE over 20% crit up CE. That's like 15% more damage with the green buff (and 15% more NP gain and even more star gens) while that crit buff is more like a 4% more damage due to buff diminishing returns. Quick up is the strongest buff on her if you're using double Gogh. So scan through your MLB CEs and reprioritize

The one single unit I disagree with the ranking is Kukulkan.

What makes her absolutely stupid isn't the offensive steroids, but rather, her absurd survivability. Two hits of evade through multiple turns isn't anything new, but still pretty nice; the thing is her passive that converts invincibility with Castoria's special invul. The fact that any servant that grants invuls trigger it on her is fantastic, but most importantly, the cd reduction+invul MC also procs it, which makes her an absurdly safe damage dealer, wether it's a CQ or a solo. The gorilla deck is the cherry on top, providing her with insane ST damage with Buster Brave Chains to pair with her AoE NP, allowing Kukulkan to check all sorts of encounters.

She's the full package, with an insanely loaded toolkit AND a built-in FREE 2030 on top of it all. She's incredible, and I legit believe whenever Grail Fronts happen again, she will dominate runs with Extra classes available.

Having used a friend’s Summer Abby during the summer rerun on NA, yeah her damage is so bad.

Even with a 100% dmg bonus from her status as an event servant, and a 200% dmg bonus from a maxed event dmg CE, and her 1st skill’s defense down, and 3rd skill’s Buster resist down, her NP did less than 300k dmg.

Why everyone hates the Abbys :( i use them both and they clear content just great

I think from a lore and story perspective that Alter Egos, Pretenders and Foreigner servants are really interesting and important for fleshing out concepts. But in terms of gameplay I think unless it's a new account that needs to deal with mixed class nodes for established accounts that Foreigner is the best class out of the 3 classes because of its hard counter to berserker enemies and servants.

So of curiousity I looked at every enemy that fills both of XX's niches (Saber and Threat to Humanity). There's 3 of them. Hokusai Saber, one of Barghest's hounds, and Demonic Beast Flauros... so realistically the super niche only comes up on one servant and 2 enemies... one of which is event based.

Hey, I've got an Oberon related question. When you pop his third skill, does this double all NP buffs only when it's used or does it apply for the whole turn? That is, if the target pops a 20% NP Strength Up on their NP after the skill is used, does it get doubled? I'm wondering so that can figure into my estimations.

I do have a NP2 Molay and she is lv 100 with 2nd append, I can usually farm zerks with BG, double SS and Oberon.

Merlin has been my signiture unit since his second banner, and I'm going to take the stance that Lady Avalon's B+, not worthy of A tier. She's a weird "what-if" that trade's Merlin's stalling power - his enduring selling point - for fastplay power. She is a unit that you only use when you plan on ending a fight in 3 offensive noble phantasms. Even though I prefer Arts teams, I'll still use Merlin over Lady Avalon in 95% of situations, even when it also involves never using/writing off Hero Creation due to deck mismatch. If Hero Creation had an option to select Arts or Buster, than Lady Avalon would basically have no reason to exist, outside of fringe overcharging Around Caliburn/Round of Camelot. I would only ever roll for her (specifically) if, by whatever circumstance, I had to start a new account at a overlapping time and there was no Castoria banner for at least a full forecasted year.

i watched these lists only now a bit after they came out, but they are by far my absolute fgo content that i have watched since i started the game in 2019 where everything about this game was magical. i think you 2 really are amazing together and i hope to see more collaborations of you two together and especially new lists for 2024 with absolutely crazy new servants and amazing discussions

Xu fu is a support/soloist who's immediately grailed to 100 when she comes next year. I can't believe she's a non limited/story locked 3 star servant.

I think that Bazett need to be on the top of A+ or low Ex especially because they have put Summer Skadi in Ex+ in the first part of Extra Class tier list, their synergy is incredible .
And the point that she "need" at least np2 have little sence because pretty much 90% of dps or farmer of Fgo need np2 for work flawless, there are just few exceptions like Super Orion .

Got NP6 summer Abby. Love using her but she’s the only reason I want Koyan. I still think she’s better than OG Abby only because of her battery.

dark koyan becomes better when viewed outside the main dps role.
she works well with any buster dps like morgan, altjuna, tiamat, melusine and others and without the downside of permanently putting the main dps to sleep like oberon does.
she also works well with any servant that wants/needs one of the 3 dot debuffs like yang.
overall i feel like people are too focused on her own np damage numbers and wont give her the chance she deserves.

I use crit stars gen and quick card buff on gogh plus ignore invi
And watch them go down MUAHAHAHAA

Let it be said, before 2024's Extra stream takes place, base Abby has a place on my farm team for Tesla Fes, taking the middle mob on 90+ round 3 😭melu + oberon handle the other 2 waves, with abby's s1 + halloween mystic code covering the rest of melu's np needs. lets me run 6 CE team without mash and only 110 max cost, which I can't do with melu double koyan oberon. Abby is a good girl....

I am terribly biased as a Lv120 NP5 Oberon owner, but once he's that invested he becomes insanely versatile as a dual DPS + support for farming comps. It's easier to use him than say Koyanskaya or Summer Skadi for the same situations given his partywide 20%

Don't need a Koyanskaya on my account for 90++ when I have that. EX++ tier servant even
