The incompetent mfs at CPD couldn’t get enough evidence to keep ‘em locked down n was forced the let ‘em go, smmfh. CPD is BEYOND incompetent, and I don’t understand how or why they haven’t been held accountable for how shit they are at their job… like wtf they being paid for, with tax payers money at that, if they can’t even do the job they are being paid to do.. Unsolved homicides in the Chi are more than 50% of all homicides in the city, smfh. I don’t remember the exact percentage, but I definitely remember it’s more than half of all homicides, smmfh

I remember the death threats he was getting from looking into the Kenneka Jenkins case.

For people wondering, the car in the middle of the street, a 1993 Chevy Impala, was owned by one of the friends with Zack.

As for how it got left in the middle of the street? Well it’s kinda complicated and poorly explained in the case docs.

From what I can tell, the full series of events took place along ~4 blocks of Clark St, heading south. The venue they were leaving was on the northmost block. The friend’s Chevy Impala was originally parked about 2 blocks south of that, near a Subway restaurant. The crash scene was another ~2 blocks south of that.

After exiting the venue, the friend walked to his Chevy. Zack kept insisting that they all ride in his Jeep. Idk where the Zack’s jeep was originally parked, but I think Zack might’ve driven the other dude’s girlfriend to her car (the car the friends fled in), presumably also parked south of the venue on Clark St. The friend says he grabbed his gun from the Chevy, the girlfriend exited Zack’s passenger seat and the friend entered it.

Once the friend is in the car, he notices the minivan pulling up and all hell breaks loose. My guess is Zack did what most people would and tried to drive off but got hit, causing the car to roll south until it finally crashed into the pole.

Maybe the friend went back to get his Chevy and pulled up by the crash before they decided to just all leave in the GF’s car? Why? 🤷🏾‍♂️ Who knows?

The whole event was a chaotic mess. Too many moving parts and panicked decision-making led to them taking just long enough for the killers to catch up.
Some Shakespearean shit smh.

Zack was such a promising young man. He was loyal to his friends and family. He was well loved and he is truly missed. I have some thoughts on how they just left him laying there in that car but karma has a way of coming back around. Nobody was left standing that was in that car. We told Zack it was time to leave a long long time ago but he was so loyal and loved so deeply it was no man left behind in his mind. Zack led the way for a lot of young people.
I would do anything to hear his laugh again. One day we will until that day we will keep his memory alive forever ♾️ ❤You’re loved and missed my dear friend.

In the video you see vehicles. ZTV silver jeep, a black car in the street to the front right of Zack''s jeep, and a 3rd car in the street to the back right of Zack's jeep.

2 people are crouched down by the car which appears to be shot up.

From the 3rd car you see a man standing in the street. The 2 people from the other shot up car run to the 3rd car . The person who was in the street gets in the front , the 2 people go to the back door.

Someone in red gets out the cars backdoor and goes to the trunk and comes back. The 2 people who ran to the car get in the back and then the person in red gets in the back.

Was it just random strangers who stopped to give them a ride?
