I want to be surrounded by water and not cell phone towers
ОтветитьI like it, the layout, the look, the systems, all great, the only thing I don't like is the foundations. I would use concrete over EPS foam block construction, the way a lot of docks are made. That way it can't sink, it's also very stable, the next best thing to solid ground.
ОтветитьHow do you repair a rusty shed roof?
Ответитьnice, do you know anyone who can build one?
ОтветитьWow...Very Impressive.
ОтветитьHe has his own water treatment. I love this!!!!
ОтветитьVery neat enviously watching.
ОтветитьBy George, I think he thought of every contingency! Can't help but be very impressed with his floating home!!
ОтветитьWow…. Amazing. Very much enjoyed the innovations for grey water. It shows you can still have a classy appearing home and still be low carbon. One question that does come to mind is he runs a lot of pumps, the auger for the pellet stove, fridge etc. How does he power up these devices when the weather is inclement (solar not charging) and he only has 400 w of power for solar. Not sure about the gas lights. (He mentions they add extra heat for colder times. Lots of forethought went into the building of the home, including carbon monoxide detectors, and canisters to discharge with high heat. Thank you for sharing. Many thanks to the home owner for allowing his home to be viewed. I’m in awe.
ОтветитьAll I can say is WOW!
ОтветитьWow, this is really beautiful ❤Is this in Canada? I hear the canadian accent. 😊
ОтветитьOutstanding build. I like the colors chosen very good choices.
ОтветитьI love how much thought went into the heat / safety / water treatment / filtration / engineering of the boat home. I'd like to see it now with more additions
ОтветитьTruly amazing!!!! Great work!!!
Ответить❤❤❤❤
Ответитьcan you tell me 1.. what permit is rqd for such house boat? 2..how is it equipped for any adverse weather conditions? how stationary beyond usual anchored area? 3..good on you following your heart. i so often: do see bldgs; boats with steps/stairs; but not disabled/particularly elderly, sone pregnant other people category friendly!
ОтветитьYou should use TPO or PVC for your roof and decks. Why didn't you use metal studs for your framing rather than the much heavier 2x4's. How come you didn't use aluminum for your floats? What would have been involved if you made your floats in the catamaran style? I guess deeper draft but I'm not sure. How did you determine how much float you needed to support the weight?
ОтветитьI do lots and built my place in the high Alps with a similar spirit, Outdone ....,
ОтветитьYour home is absolutely beautiful and perfect place to live! Congratulations 🍾
ОтветитьVery pretty and functional.... For those looking to do something like this, perhaps also look at using SIPs, structural insulated panels, for the shell, roof included. Super insulated, airtight, and structurally "monolithic". The spray foam is awesome, but SIPs are next level.
Ответитьthis is absolutely gorgeous. The colors, the decor, the size, the utilities, the everything. Love that you're not completely done so we're able to see it 'raw' so to speak.
ОтветитьWhat a absolutely fantastic house; it must be a great feeling to live like this; good job man ❤
ОтветитьAbsolutely beautiful
ОтветитьJust one quick question...During the winter when the water is frozen, how do you keep the ice from damaging the hull?
Ответитьthis type of guy oversee huge construction projects...very detailed oriented and puts alot under consideration
ОтветитьSo Interesting!
ОтветитьHow about condensation in your pontoon?
ОтветитьMy biggest take away is probably how good that water is
ОтветитьVery impressive how he use so many different knowledge to build his dream house 🎉
ОтветитьBeautiful home! Love the water views!
ОтветитьLovely to see such a all through thought built house with everything basically thought of, fire, heating and working space. Absolutely worth a award for best built house boat
ОтветитьSo you did your ego trip and then you went with the slogan of the "footprint" to be a rightious again....
ОтветитьI think that's my "dream home." Really like your design and detail choices. I hope I can find a video of your completed project.
Much respect to you, Sir.
Nice/colorful/creative 👏🙃🙂 looking house. 🏠🏘🏡 👌
ОтветитьWOW meanwhile I can't even draw a straight line if i tried!
ОтветитьMy dream home! How rough does the water get?
ОтветитьDUDE?! Very inspiring! I want to do this! I want it portable though - trailer from woods to water anytime I feel like a change of scenery or seasonal moves. Can't be charged for camping on the water - this is brilliant. Well done sir.
ОтветитьI had to stop the video after you said the upstairs bedrooms were approx 13 X14 . Just a moment before you said the upstairs was approx 12X24. How do you squeeze a 13 foot area into a 12 foot space ?
ОтветитьI'm new to floating homes. I presume that they can not be driven out on the water and they have to remain fixed to the dock. Is that correct?
ОтветитьThe safety features are very thoughtful and smart
ОтветитьThis place is so beautiful that I just keep watching it over and over. I don't remember I've seen it until it starts....then I'm like, "wow, this place again". Also this man is incredibly handsome and down to earth. Love his story.
ОтветитьTop Man!
Ответитьi would get a distiller system and add minerals to that for pure water as a back up and add a cylindrical windmill with low rpm generator too, also a stove you can burn both wood logs and pellets
ОтветитьVery Beautiful Home 🥰
ОтветитьI love love love your home - particularly the exterior. I have always liked flower boxes and all the potted plants. Your choice in materials and colors are excellent.
ОтветитьAbsolutely gorgeous! Some of us monkeys are quite clever! Love it! I'd be happy to live there!
ОтветитьThis is an amazing structure and home! Beautiful & safe; as well as sustainable! Wow.
ОтветитьVery impressive!
