I personally don't feel like they have truly fixed it at all because of all of the things they changed in the game, i mean yeah they fixed how the game looks and how it funs and yeah they are adding the other maps to it but the thing that i don't get is why they changed so much, i mean seriously was it really necessary for them to remove 2 of the 10 item slots at the bottom of the screen and change the item organization to where you have to either drag and drop your items using the left thumb stick and buttons or use the touch screen controls? or add a stupid pc mouse cursor to it and make it to where if you want to move from item to item the old way you have to use the d-pad and only the d-pad? or even make it to where you need to use the d-pad for selecting all your items instead of half being the d-pad and the other being with the buttons was all that really necessary?! Because i don't think it was, because to me it just all feels like a bunch of changes were made for no reason and to be completely honest i hate it.

No. You can have smt almost like GOD MODE in the settings, Single player is totally broken, i played 5 min untill i saw the broken settings and stopped.
Unrewarded difficulty should not exist.
And there's no eazy way to refund.

You have mentioned before you don't entirely hate it but from what I recall a game that plays it's self tends to loose points. That's not unfair.

Just got this game for my Birthday Sunday so perfect timing to see the video, also on my switch

Honesty could be me, but the graphics and display is overrated. Muscles look unrealistic, then the display looks like 2015 mobile gameface, the graphic looks like 2019 mobile to pc graphic.
Anyway for those who dont agree with me, lets talk about gameplay, alien ships and dinosaurs? Wheres the story? Just surviving? Minecraft, raft, zelda botw is way better in everyway. Any way overrated game, i have adhd but never once have i play this game for over 2 hours, nothing to invest your interest in other then dinosaurs, and at that point ill just pplay some jurrasic simulator.
If you are really interested in the same gameplay with no stories, i would recommend rust.

I honestly don’t get why people like this game, even after all these years it’s still a bit of a mess. The devs seemed to be more concerned with making paid dlc rather than fixing the base game first and overall they just aren’t trustworthy IMO. Everything they do comes out in such an unfinished state it’s ridiculous but hey to each their own I guess. For me personally I’ve tried playing ark multiple times and it’s just one of those games that just isn’t for me. For anyone hyped for ark 2 all I’ll really say about that is based on their other games on launch like ark 1 and that pirate game I forget what that one was called you’re fooling yourself if you think the sequel is gonna be some epic super polished improvement. It’ll prolly be a mess when it comes out that they’ll update over time

quick guide to ARK: gather everything. build thatch until you run out of resources, repeat. Dont build a base in thatch or wood, always build in stone. dont build on the beach. get a flyer as early as possible. pteras are useful early on but argents and wyverns are the best transports. get a couple of starter dinos like trikes, stegos, raptors, sarcos, but dont waste your time on them. focus on getting Tek Rexs and Gigas. you dont Need a greenhouse but it is fun. farming mantis is the fastest way to get polymer. farming beaver dams is the best way to get cementing paste, always destroy the dam or it will never respawn with new resources. 700 hours in a game is generally a lot of playtime. i had 700 hours in beta and knew extremely little about Ark. close to 3k hours now and im still learning things.
the best thing you can do to enhance your ark experience is play with mods. stacker mod. awesome teleporters and spyglass. dino storage v2. improved flyers. auto recovery. try hosting a private server. turn everything up to 100. Trust Me.

And yet, they still have yet to fix all the console issues nor will they ever fix them. I've been wanting to get a full playthrough on Primitive Plus on Xbox One and the mode has been broken on most maps for a few years now. Pretty much the only map you can play it on is Ragnarok. And since they no longer fully support Primitive Plus, they are never going to fix it. I wish they would just remove the mode from the game entirely if they aren't going to fix it. Would be better than leaving the broken mess of it in.

For some strange, unknown reason this game has lured me into it's endless, time swallowing abyss... Haha, 2500 hours in it on Steam in just about 2 years. Always come back to it, even when I say I am done with it. There is just nothing else like it!
