I always was told that I was “too young for a girlfriend” to be fair that was a long time ago but that stuck with me so I kind of just figured I was “too young” to be romantically attracted to anyone

Honestly from my point of view I don't think anyone should judge anyone with how they feel. Like yes there is a lot of people out there that do and don't experience relationships and the feeling of that and it alright no one really can judge you for how you feel about someone I thought I was asexual throughout high school and i thought something was wrong with me it wasn't til college that I actually learnt that i was actually attracted to someone. So yet again I don't think anyone really has the right to judge anyone cause damn we're all trying figure it out ourselves.

I often just wish I was aro. I'm a heteromantic ace guy and, at least where I live and work, lot's of people either just don't believe me or think it's just me being "awkward" whenever I bring up any dating experiences. Plus it's difficult af to find fellow romantic aces.

This video made me think a lot the first time I saw it. I spent about a year thinking I was aroace before I did develop a crush and really confused myself. Coming back and rewatching it years later with what I know now helps me understand what I was feeling back then. I was a confused, closeted, and very uninformed biromantic asexual person. Thank you for bringing this to light and helping me dive deeper into my own feelings.

Your description makes perfect sense to me, and I am a Pansexual. It kind of depends on how our bodies and brains process things, and everybody's different. As long as one is happy and not hurting others, that's all that matters. I have a friend who is aroace and she explained it in pretty much the same way and I was like, "sounds normal to me. You feel what you feel"

I figured out that I am aro when I was 15 but when I was questioning if I was aro or not I decided to date someone and I confirmed I was. I thought I like liked her but I realized the feeling I was feeling around her was just a combo of nervousness and horny. I ended up telling all my friends that I am aro but people still ended up having crushes on me. That’s when I found my replacement status for relationships: Friends with benefits. It’s a fun way to have fun with friends that you have sexual attraction to. At least for me. Now I’m 19 and I recently (like a few months ago) told my parents that I’m aro and they “excepted” it. I say “excepted” bc they said they do but then my dad took me on a walk to talk about the meaning and trying to see if I’m wrong. My dad told me that he felt like I was putting a label on myself and killing the feelings of love when I feel them but the thing is that you can’t kill a feeling if it doesn’t happen. So can confirm he thinks I’m just labeling myself and trying to keep that label accurate. Which I’m not. Now my mom has taken a different approach. She thinks I don’t feel love or romance bc I haven’t experienced it. So my mom’s big idea about 2 months ago was to introduce me to her new friend’s daughter while both moms are secretly trying to get us to romance. I noticed this right away and told my new friend that I’m aro after our first get together. Now about a week ago my mom told me their whole secret to try and get us together and she was trying to guilt me into dating her by saying “I’m leading her on” or “she’s a tomboy so she doesn’t require a lot of romance” or “she has had a crush on you this whole time and she hasn’t found anyone she felt that way towards in years” (which ik btw). So we came to a compromise. Me and my new friend want the same sort of stuff out of this relationship so we became fwb. So yeah that’s my life of being aro lol. Feel free o tell me yours if you want.

Witch include the following : pansexual asexual bisexual and lesbian in that order and I just couldn’t figure out witch one I was intil I went looking back at my memories from the past and realized that I always looked at girls more than boys specifically Latino girls but when I tried to tell my BISEXUAL MOM THIS SHE SAID TO NOT TELL MY OTHER MOM THAT WAS LESBIAN!!!!! INCLUDING THE REST OF MY FAMILY AND MY BROTHERS MAKE FUN OF ME FOR IT WITCH IS QUITE UNSUPRISEING SINCE HE CALLS TRANSGENDER PEOPLE PEOPLE WHO CAN’T MAKE UP THEIR MINDS AND NOW I’M PLANNING NEXT TIME WE HAVE A FIGHT OR SOMETHING I’M GONNA SCREAM LOUD AND PROUD THAT I’M LESBIAN CAUSE NOW I HAVE A PHONE WITH MY FAMILY MEMBERS NUMBERS BIG MISTAKE THEIR AND IF THEY EVEN TRY TO STOP ME THERE GONNA WITH THEY NEVER OPENED THERE MOUTH CAUSE WHAT DO YOU SAY TO YOUR LESBIAN CHILD WHEN YOU ARE PRACTICALLY IN THE SAME CATEGORY
