im about to try garudas plasma
but really i prefer xfces default other than a few tweaks
ive never been a fan of gnome or that style of gui

Could you do a tour of Solus and explain how it differs to the current crop of distros? I understand it was built from the ground up but I don't know what that actually means. I've been an Ubuntu user for years but haven't dipped my toes into any other distros.

Wow, that looks a lot slicker than Fedora Core and Xandros! I can't wait to struggle to get my wireless card working with ndiswrapper and figure out how to play Adobe Flash content again. Maybe if I can get my monitor to sync correctly I can make it do that spinny cube Compiz thing :)

Congrats Manjaro. Ironically, I recently installed the newest version of Manjaro Xfce on a 10+ year old computer.

I came across this yesterday when I was trying to find the Manjaro website

If you were to actually install this, I'm pretty sure you'll be able to update to the latest of everything with literally 1 command
