One thing that has helped me on the days I’m doing well is keeping a journal out. Writing goals down for the day or reminders to myself beforehand and revisiting during the day. Writing thoughts after trades or while in trades. It’s meticulous but it’s needed

Went through this like 3-4 times this year. In summer I was up 12k and blew my account in 2-3 days it’s was insane. Before that I had finally passed my forex exam in march made 20k and ofc it was when thefundedtrader went down. Both of those situations messed up my mindset so bad. I just finally passed my TopStep account again and truly trying to stay disciplined. I respect the transparency though. Got a sub out of me! See you at the top man! This is exactly why I avoid prop firms that require trading for 5+ days. Brother, I’ve made $19K on TopStep three times in the last 9 months, only to lose it all after losing momentum in my trades. Even when I took breaks, I couldn’t regain my rhythm. Everything changed when I found prop firms with same-day payouts. There’s nothing more frustrating than making $10K in a day or over three days, staring at it, but not being able to withdraw it. It’s disheartening as a trader—you see the fruits of your hard work but can’t access them. If you had been able to pull out $4,500, or even just $2,500, a loss or blown account wouldn’t have hurt as much because you would’ve still been up for the month, by $2K or even $4K. Keep it up brother, you are at the door!

Proper content, brother. I have been here, and it has changed me as a person fundamentally. The Universe shows us the big profits to see how our thoughts structure with the ego boost. Then, when we're on tilt, it's important to still think highly of oneself and simply step a way. One day, blow accounts, many days, building it.

I get this voice inside my head that says "save your account". If that happens, close all your trades immediately. Don't think, not even for 5 seconds.

this happened to me twice, my first two funded accounts i was in 3k profit on a 5k funded and 8k up on a 25k funded and i lost it all being so greedy. But experiences like these are lessons that you can't learn from anyone else unless you experience it, you have to bounce back and learn your lessons and improve. Currently on a 50k funded 3k in profit, slow but steady progress 😁😁

Still on my journey, and already have a statistically profitable method. When you talk about how trying to cover up your mistakes leads to even more mistakes, it struck a nerve with me. When you make a mistake, just chuck it up as mistake and move on to the next rule based trade. No need chasing after a mistake. Thanks again.

Same thing happened to me multiple times. I have been able to get past this by setting a liquidate+block daily loss limit of $750 so it’s more like 3-5 day buffer

I recommend you watch Justin werlin. He’s big on phycology and I think you need to disconnect from the money aspect and you’re gonna be able to be extremely consistent.

one day of slipping up... on my funded I was down 1500, brought myself down only 400 and should have taken that as a gift from god, and a sign to call it quits for the day. I did not, I continued trading and I ended up blowing my account. huge reminder since it was my first funded account in 10 months of trading everyday.
