I have a ryzen 7 5800x a rtx 3060 and 32g of ram and I’m at 20 fps all the time with low settings at 1080p. While I can play other games at 4k medium graphics at 50-60 fps. Can someone with more experience in this game explain why people hate bots more than. Bugs? My team and I feel that bots are way easier. Just cluster a ship when landing, rather then bugs all over the place.

Yes the arrow keys stratagems works fine but have to leave mouse hand to do so and in that moments of rush I have accidentally pressed the mouse and dropped stgms on ground near me. So many times both eagle and orbits hitting me and teammates Cause my left hand is on wsad and right on arrowkey.

I just bought Helldivers 2, and it is fun, but holy shit does it feel unbalanced sometimes.

Me still playing difficulty 4 with lvl 14

i play wiht a level 60 so we play on level 8-9

Wait... You can rebind strategems!?

This is all fine and good... but to unlock a new difficulty level do you have to start a new set of missions and then finish that set? Or can you just finish say 3 separate missions on that difficulty to unlock the next one?

So for clarity... say you're max difficulty level is 6 (extreme) if you want to play 7 (suicide mission) can you just play 3 quick plays to unlock 7 or do you have to do a mission cluster to unlock 7 difficulty?

I have a strange problem with the ar-23 where the trigger must be pressed ridiculously hard to fire. I don't have this problem with any other weapons

I've had to switch to controller recently because I literally broke the shift key on my keyboard from how stressful this game gets.

The funny thing is, I find controller is surprisingly handy for realizing that you can move and spec stratagems at once, but I had a hard time with other things like aiming and diving. Mind you, I've played FPS games with both keyboard and controller, and even hybrid sometimes.

One argument I hear often is "oh, keyboard is much better for aiming, PC supremacy" but personally, I find it a matter of preference. Do what you think is most comfortable. Don't be afraid to bind your keys or controller buttons to something more comfortable or familiar. Your fingers will thank you. This game is very demanding one way or the other.

I love these kind of games so I already have quite the experience here. But this is by far one of the best ones

tip for stratagem bind: use mouse wheel for up / down. You can leave l/r on [a]/[d], still move and don't need to take your hand off the mouse

i like 7, its challenging but not frustrating, you can get everything and its fun

My god how things have changed since then...

for those who have mouse with extra modifiable buttons, remap the Map (Tab button) to M and configure it to your chosen mouse button. so many times that I'm sprinting and want to look at the map at the same time would trigger Steams Overlay while in-game. Sure i can disable the overlay but i enjoy using it every now and then.

I don't play 8 or 9, at least against the Automatons, for a simple reason. I don't enjoy not getting to play my character. The amount of times I would literally drop from my hellpod into instant stunlock from rockets was insane. After going through about 5 reinforcements without getting to fire a single shot or even move I decided those difficulties where not for me.

Hats of to those that make it work but that it simply isn't worth it to me to beat my face against that.

Great tips, I personally love the rail cannon/airstrike combo myself.
