Hey everyone, we made a mistake: it's a triad subpixel layout, NOT pentile. Pentile would result in a lower subpixel resolution, which the S95B doesn't suffer from. Our thanks @Gimils_Beard and @neoteriX for pointing this out in the comments.
ОтветитьThe color accuracy on the Samsung was much better in my opinion especially when looking at the flesh tones.
ОтветитьLol that bit on QD-OLED burn in didn't age so well...
ОтветитьIf linus can notice then it’s actually a change/update
ОтветитьIs there a settings guide on the ltt forums groups for the best settings for the g2
Ответитьlove the video!. Can you ask LG to send a G3 ?
ОтветитьDont say the Lords name in vain
ОтветитьAccording to rtings today QD OLED is more fragile than LG WOLED! Just to know!
ОтветитьLets be streight here multimillionaire buys and returns 2 Oleds 65 inch for testing? WHY ? first of why not 77 inch second i see this as a bit of a scam not taking at least one.. give the other to the worker of the month Really..
Ответитьlmao..i am so confused by this reviews since somehow G2 is cheaper than s95B in my country..weird
ОтветитьIt'd be really useful to get an idea of how bright the lights actually are when you're looking at the 'grey' S95B. It looks almost like studio lighting? Even when the lights are off I can see a light to the left of the S95.
ОтветитьGreat content my man. You are the best I've seen at what you do. Keep it up!
Ответитьtoday, we know qdoled have a biggest problem with burnin than woled
Ответитьlg all the way
ОтветитьBe appreciated if you could pronounce “Aluminium” correctly. Thank you.
ОтветитьI have to say I'm a bit concerned about this video...From the beginning, it just FEELS like Linus is OPPOSED to the G2 at all costs. As if he is looking at this TV as if Guilty of something? He brings up the A95K which is a good TV, but that TV also has issues with motion tracking, its motion technology, and sluggish menu systems. The QD-OLED tech IS better, but with the shortcomings it has, it is not worth $1000 more than the LG G2. As you see, Linus does have some "Oooh" and "Aahh" moments with this TV, and that should be noteworthy. I just personally think an LG G3 QD-OLED would be the next king? Samsungs S95B and other models also have sluggish smart TV systems. I'll be honest, from owning a slow Samsung in the past, it's just not worth it when you have to press the button multiple times and wait for things to LOAD....this is where I just see LG combines the software with the user interface the best, hence their LG Magic remote. Maybe I am preferential to LG? I just have had a good experience with their G2 and I have seen the A95K and if you want to pay $1000 dollars to split hairs?....Go for it.
ОтветитьThe RTINGS long term burn in tests are showing the QD OLEDs burn in significantly worse than the LG OLEDs.
ОтветитьQuick question. Why do we care about the peak brightness of a OLED/Any TV if we just turn the brightness down so not to burn our eyes if using as a Desktop Monitor??
ОтветитьYeah, pity that Samsung has a history of stealing other companies intellectual property that those other companies paid to develop. Such as QDI and their Cadmium free quantum dot technology.
ОтветитьCan someone tell me what’s better between the LG UN7300 and the UQ9000? Both are 65”, about to get one of them mostly for games. Please and thank you 🙏🏻
ОтветитьNow the QD OLED are burn in as rtings compared LG Won
ОтветитьWhat if i can have C2 and S95B for same price 1200e ? I had C2 great TV but died in 2 weeks so i send it back. Now i am not sure if i should buy it again or take S95B for same price
ОтветитьI bought a LG C2 two months ago and have it in an extremely bright room. The brightness is more than enough the glare of the gloss screen is more of an issue, but nothing dropping the blinds can’t fix. I turned the energy saver off and noticed the brightness is even more which is absolutely stunning. I can’t recommend this tv enough, it is truly incredible.
ОтветитьSamsungs tv looks more like Plasma back in the day.
ОтветитьHonestly the G2 at optimal viewing distance is eye searingly bright. Bright enough to where you can use BFI (although it only does 60hz now) without the picture getting too dim
ОтветитьJust bought a 65 LG C2 OLED and I LOVE it for gaming, shows look a little dark but I like it
ОтветитьBurn-in may become a non-issue, but if you get one, nobody's gonna give you a new screen for free.
ОтветитьI have a LG C1, is it worth upgrading to any of the 2023 line up from either lg, Samsung or Sony?
Recently started my 4k disc collection and have the panasonic dp-ub820-k player.
In a perfect world where price doesn't matter, I'd get the Sony AJ90. But because I live in the real world, I'm getting the LG oled at half the price.
ОтветитьPentile fringing has been an issue ever since the Samsung Galaxy S2 in my recollection. I f*ing hate it and I never not see it.
ОтветитьPer Rtings there is a known issue with raised blacks on the Sammy and Sony QD OLED
ОтветитьWhy would someone like Linus cheap out. I would just get the best of the best in his situation.
ОтветитьC2 VS high end Sony 🤔🤔🤔
ОтветитьA95, for rich plebs lol
Ответитьanyone got burn in yet?
Ответитьthe price on these oleds decrease so much
ОтветитьCouldn't decide. Bought both; one for bedroom one for game room
ОтветитьYea a 42 inch C2 is now ~$700, so yea competition really drove prices down. Course it’s Christmas too
ОтветитьSo im extremely torn between the LG G2 and the Sony A80K tv. I'm really hoping someone sees this comment despite this being an older video. My main concern is input lag when streaming games from my Gaming PC in the other room. I'm not going to be playing competitive stuff for obvious reasons, but when I want to share gameplay with my nieces and nephews It's a really nice thing to be able to do. I currently have a Vizio TV that I regretted buying as soon as I tried to game on it. The input lag is unbearable. I use an Nvidia Shield (the streaming focused smaller one) to stream the games to my living room TV. So which one would be better as far as input lag? They are both the same price basically at best buy right now. Just don't want to make another buying mistake again.
ОтветитьI own an LG G2 OLED 82 Inches and I AM IN LOVE WITH IT. I play Battlefield, Assassin's Creed and let me tell you. With the lights off. Game on!!! This TV delivers and you as a gamer are looking for. Ah of course, I also have an XBOX series X to deliver performance...
ОтветитьDidn’t Samsung nerf the brightness on their oled? And cop a load of flack for doing so?
ОтветитьI just ordered a LG G2 65 inch because i think it's more elegant and flush mounts on the wall. I also was afraid to get a bent Samsung S95B. I've seen multiple YT videos that highlight that problem.
ОтветитьBurn in just gives your display a personal character, like a rich patina on a nice fountain pen reveals how you write
ОтветитьWhen was the last time Linus had to actually worry about money?
ОтветитьWhen was the last time Linus had to actually worry about money?
ОтветитьYes it’s the anti glare coating fellas
ОтветитьNo. Midrange Samsung Q80B is EXQUISITE without hype or mini LED. My C2 is a game room only device. Samsung OWNS the living room
