Twitch's New Emote Uses AI ART...

I will never understand the desire so many companies have to produce AI art. Especially when they have to pay an "AI engineer" anyway. You are paying anyway. Might as well pay for something made with love and care

Just wondering but as long as you don't have the tag on your stream no one should have access to the emote on your streams? Is there any other way to prevent the use of this emote?

For me first sign were ears and hat - their positions are strange And then fur - too smooth and blurry

They should have used Flux to generate the image.
Flux and SD3.5 already made the vast majority of 2d artists obsolete, now we are waiting for better AI that can generate good 3d models to come out, even if the entire 3d modeling industry will be obsolete by 2026 because the video models will be able to emulate everything perfectly like they are using 3d models along with light and physics simulations.

edit: As for the lazy bs, say that after your learn to code in C++, Python, JS, SQL trying to keep your clients as a freelance software developer, learn to work with software like Unreal Engine and Blender (and not just the basics), or learn the ins and outs of a CMS like WordPress with all its major plugins and other related bs, work as an indie game designer/developer, run multiple ttrpg campaigns, try to keep up with science and technology, and still have time for family and friends.

To me, artists look like the lazy ones that stick to one thing and don't even need to optimize using tools like AI because they already have more than enough free time.

The eyes was the first AI MISTAKE I noticed

Every human being who used this for their own greed disgusted me... I already lost hope in humanity cause of it cause all this greedy companies think of us money... I know they need it but this is just crossing the line and straight up disrespectful to us artist in every form... This is also disrespectful to some cultures to those who worship a God or Goddess that is titled with Music or Art like Apollo from Greek Mythology

I saw AI art in a craft fair. A CRAFT FAIR. And it looked just as horrible as you’d expect.

Many of us Vtubers who are artists are complaining a lot about it, especially on a forum all of us posted on. Its a disgrace especially when they JUST had the Artist Creators Club thing started on Twitch >:T

I think people dont understand HOW BAD this actually is for us artists!!

What I don't understand with some of these AI "art" that is teleased under big proffesional companies, like Twitch, is that these had to go through several layers of Passes and Modifications to be passable for the general public. Why was these AI spesific mistakes not found and corrected? Should these not have scrutinized as much as a Human they would hire knowing both would make mistakes or misunderstood the info they are given? How lazy did they get with this just to produce and publish this?

kat its a little silly to make a video about ai stuff and how you're disappointed in twitch when you yourself took a sponsorship from a company that uses ai art. you posted a picture of yourself with ai art on a poster and ignored multiple people when they commented about it both on twitter and your twitch chat. you never addressed it (to my knowledge) and quietly moved on and then have the audacity to say twitch is scummy for the ai art. its giving hypocritical.

It’s like Netflix..surfs up has an AI image 😭😭

There are hundreds of thousands of stock cat photos out there, a lot of which cover very specific things down to the most minor holiday. It’s so incredibly easy to simply get a stock photo cat and photoshop a Santa hat onto it. It will take about as long it would take the AI to generate it and you’ll end up with a far better result.

I'm currently working as 3d artist full time, but I'm a bit out of the loop on the AI art situation and am mostly curious what everyone's perspectives are on the ethics of AI. Most likely AI will approach into the 3d field next and I will probably be affected by it.

I've noticed a heavy trend on your channel pushing against AI tools in art, and I can see that AI art can be used in a really deceitful/negative way like many tools.
A few examples you've shown like this twitch emote looking pretty bad and in a different video with that guy who was presenting himself as a beginner and was also tracing AI practically 1 to 1 while being anti AI.

However it just seems like these are just growing pains that any field with heavy innovation will incur.
For instance photography would've seemed like an insane cheat for portrait painting. Ink press replacing all the people who painstakingly wrote every page. Or even a more recent example, digital painting compared to traditional painting.

The key element that seems to add an extra layer to the prior examples if I'm understanding it correctly, is Ai generates it's pictures off the back of all the artists works which the AI model was trained off. And the key nuance here is that instead of hiring the people that made the works that the AI learned from, people can now hire people to generate millions of images for practically nothing.


My perspective at the moment, is that is fine. And if 3d models use my assets to generate models, or if my current specific role get fully replaced by an AI, that seems natural. I'll have to adjust and either incorporate the new tools or learn a new field.
Just like drivers getting replaced by automatic drivers.

But i'm open to having my mind changed, and am curious to hear others perspectives.

AI will not hurt any artists, anyone who is afraid of AI is ignorant. Creative people need to stay in their lane, make art and let SCIENTISTS worry about science.

And the worst thing? They didn't even bother to regenerate the image until it's fixed, without those obvious visual bugs. I mean how less can you care about something and on the other hand be so pride when anouncing it on twitter?
