How to Get THE LAMENT Exotic Solar Sword in 2023! - The LOST LAMENT Updated Exotic Guide [Destiny 2]

A very annoying quest the 3 missions you need to do I have 1 done the other 2 are very grindy 😅

Don't know where to get "Empire's Fall" and "The Dark Priestess" quests. Anyone have an idea how to make these show up?

Thanks for Vod. I wanted to give some info on a particular situation that I found myself in that might help others, or maybe even just 1 person but thats ok. I played Beyond light when it was current for a month or two, it was my first real destiny 2 experience. I completed the campaign, and some side quests, but did not finish everything by any means, and I couldn't remember where I stopped. Fast forward to now (7/1/23). I was going through the lament quest tonight because I've been told I should get it, still being a pretty new player. So here is where I found myself, On my map, I have the "Empire Hunt: The Warrior" Matchmaking Activity visible already, which means I must have progressed through the Old secrets new challenges quest, as well as the open world Hunt steps to unlock empire hunts, but I don't have any recollection of what I did or didn't do. I got to the part of the Lament quest to run an Exo Challenge, but I did not have an Exo Challenge activity visible on my map. I searched google, watched videos, nothing answered this specifically, they just say you have to do the old secrets quest and whatnot. Then I watched this video and I was even more confused because when I saw what the Exo challenge actually was, I 100% remember running it back in the day, and it wasn't on my map. after a while and out of options I noticed on the map that there was another activity, the icon was squiggly lines, near the Bray exoscience label, it says "Simulation: Agility Campaign" and thats it, no where on it does it say Exo Challenge, but I ran it to see and lo and behold it counts as an exo challenge, even though its not labeled as one anywhere.

TLDR: if you think you've unlocked everything but can't find the Exo Challenge activity, run the Agility Simulation campaign activity in the bray exoscience, its not listed as an exo challenge

Dead Exo # 2 is incorrect, it is actually located in the boss' room by the first left pillar (assuming you are facing the boss spawn point)

For the Lament combo, you can get 4 light attacks in before the heavy. The way it works is that the buff runs out once you either stop attacking or the melee bar runs out. 4 light attacks leaves a little bit left which can be used for a heavy since any amount of energy will allow one to be performed. Basically as long as you aren’t guarding for too long, 4 attacks then a heavy is the most DPS. To be safe, you can go for 3 light attacks in before the heavy.

You missed telling players the best combo for dps.

How do I get the quest to drop? I beat the beyond light campaign when it came out a while ago but don’t have the lost lament quest. I checked the old quests thing in the tower and there was nothing. Do I have to complete all of the born in darkness quests first? Because I have not done those

Only playstation is getting beyond light?

It might not happen to everyone, but when I ran through this quest this past weekend I kept getting issues with Vex not spawning in the final few rooms during the last step of the quest on my way to Clovis AI. I researched and found this had been a known issue when Beyond Light first came out. You just need to go back to the room with the tunnel and cart on the right and Clovis should speak again and progress the dialog and start the spawning of Vex again.

What's the best 'combo' when using the Lament to optimise dps?
