it’s black it’s holey its everything we hoped it would be
ОтветитьVery interesting.
ОтветитьI don't give a damn about physics keep accelerating towards the speed of light.
ОтветитьWanted to like this video but giving up after 4 mins becuase the music is too intrusive. It would be better with no music or reduce the volume so it's background I can tune out. As it is, I am having to make an effort to focus on the words. Too much effort. Pity. It's good otherwise.
ОтветитьIf I am right Universe is huge blackhole trap with loads of hidden blackholes we can't see and if yea were to make warp drive yea might hit one if your not scanning a head for them
ОтветитьI love these PBS space time presentations but I still have a rather strange question as to why Black Holes are depicted as endless sink drainage holes in space? If we hypothesize our reality as being 3D with the 4th being time, in quantum mechanics there maybe as many as 11 or more. So the question is why are black holes always depicted as being a 2D object with everything spiraling into an endless funnel to a singularity. When a star explodes to create a black hole doesn't the material get blown outwards in all directions in a sphere. Then the star collapses into a singularity in 3d dimensional space, then why the funnel, and does a black hole violate our reality and create a flat space region?
ОтветитьWho else is here after Sagittarius A* photo was released?
ОтветитьWhat if the photo sphere is the white hole and the black hole is the singularity of the white hole?
ОтветитьI wish you would have the ads at the beginning instead of suddenly interrupting content.
ОтветитьThe title of this video cracks me up. There was not a bit of real science involved with the EHT and the non existent black hole and I can prove it.
ОтветитьWhat I dont get about this image is not that the interferometry can detect the diameter of a black hole far away, but that it has enough pixels to form an image. The are enough points along the circumference of this black hole to make the circle look smooth, almost high def.. unbelievable
Ответитьfantastisc !
ОтветитьThe thumbnail for this video looked like a galactic class drummer about to lay down a killer track.
Ответить"It's black, its holey, it's everything we wanted it to be"
Dr Matt O'Dowd 01/05/2019
Just Zoom in bruh
ОтветитьWe could launch a bunch of telescopes rotating in Geo Stationary orbits, avoiding atmosphere disturbance and enhancing the resolution even more.... I suppose this could work really well for Sagittarius A*
ОтветитьLol
ОтветитьIf light can't escape a blackhole, how does it project a magnetic field?
ОтветитьSo is M87 a quasar?
Ответитьcome on, it's a model, a good one, but still only a realistic approximation
ОтветитьWE NEED INDEPENDENT VERIFICATION OF THIS EXPERIMENT, THIS SOUNDS FISHY TO ME......I've tried to look at the data from this experiment and guess what YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO LOOK 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 what kind of science are we doing.
ОтветитьIt's black. It's holey.
ОтветитьBut if you have a telescope that can resolve a grain of sand with 100% resolution, do you really ever know where that grain of sand is?
Ответить"Our first ever actual bona fide photo of a black hole."
Do you even know what "bona fide" means? It means "genuine". And this picture of a black hole is nothing, but a computer simulation. The data they used is NOT perceptible by humans without machines. That alone disqualifies the use of "bona fide" in its description.
Maybee black holes are new universes and dark matter and dark energy is maybee vakuum
ОтветитьCan we put a bunch of these bad bois around the sun and peer into deep deep space?
ОтветитьWe have never seen a black hole.
ОтветитьIf you believe this SiFi as real... you've been had.
ОтветитьThe picture is in reality a view of a void in space. The glow around it is the radiation from the billions of stars comprising the mass of the galaxy and their outpouring of radiation directed towards this void. A black hole void is essentially the point mass center of the rotating stellar masses comprising the mass of the galaxy. Every disconnected series of mass bodies which orbit a common center point establishes a point in space where their gravitational impetus forms what we call as the point mass center of their orbiting point.. Depending on the total amount of mass involved in this point mass center takes on a dimension in the shape of all of the external masses angle from the point mass center. This point mass center creates a void wheer the gravity of each object forbids any mass from entering the void. This void entails all masses be they photon masses or electron masses or proton masses of any size.. Such masses are rotated around the void and into space at the poles of the rotating void. In the one hand we might have a void of say a tenth of a mile in dimension as in the case of maybe a couple hundred stars or on a galactic level it maybe a hundred light years in diameter. and s thus labeled as a black hole mass with X dimension. and mass.
ОтветитьI thought the thumbnail was a black hole using a drum set
Ответитьis it real science though? the 3 vids sky scholar presented, I am extremely skeptical they actually pulled it off
ОтветитьHonestly it sounds like they are just cherry picking the data to get the result they desire.
ОтветитьWould it be possible to launch an x amount of telescopes so that they start orbiting at an distance at which Pluto orbits the sun and therefore gett a telescope the size of the solar system?
ОтветитьOne day it will be clear, to fully understand the black hole is to fully understand all of physics.
ОтветитьThe image constitutes 1th of a billion data parts. What about the discarded data? There is no way to know if the image is an artifact or not, and there's now way of knowing if what we see is a result of how the data was acquired OR how it was processed.
I.e. it has nothing to do with science.
The only confirmed black hole is called BER (google for it). It has been discovered more than a decade ago and is capable of absorbing an arbitrary amount of money without paying itself off in finite time.
ОтветитьHow easy it is to use false assumptions in the math explanation of physical phenomena without realizing it. I will show the logical fallacy with simple Q & A. Q. Assuming standard solar fusion creating iron at the core, would the core cooling not prevent heat to be the cause of atomic collapse? A: Yes. Q: At the centre of gravity of the massive star, would the equal mass in all directions cause the gravity to cancel out to zero? A: Yes. Q: What is left to cause gravitational collapse? A: Nothing. Using the centre of gravity in calculations is only valid for the exterior of an object, but this is rarely considered even by geniuses! How could it even be remotely possible that real gravity of an object actually emanate from the centre of mass and not from the entire mass? I find it very disturbing that black hole and neutron star formation is considered possible by the majority of the scientific community.
ОтветитьWait, so they made an image based on current understanding of physics, and we're impressed that it looks like something our physics predicted? You lost me.
ОтветитьVery helpful !
ОтветитьThe real science is in collecting ~50 petabytes of radio telemetry then feeding it into a program that eliminated 99.999999999% of that data to give you a nice neat little picture of non-visible radio noise in a visible form then calling it a picture, almost like it was conveniently set up all along to do just that so you could pull down more grant money...amazing isn't it?
Ответить"Bonified" photo what a joke. This Idiot is another puppet for a bunch of theives.
Stealing funds from LEGITIMATE SCIENTISTS, that could utilize the money performing inteligent work using fundamental scientific principles, who would truthful answers to questions that could propel humanity to the next level. We will get no truth with ignorant pathetic parasites parroting nonsense.
Black holes aren't real science. And the picture is an example of data manipulation. The dataset of the EHT is way too small to provide a valid image.
