I was surprised to find out that Icebreakers were in use at the time of Titanic. Why did a assist ship like that not assist with the Iceberg that the ship struck?
It even could have been worse. What if such an assist ship steered the iceberg INTO the TITANIC?
At least it should have verred the iceberg AWAY, preventing a colision.
If they didn't have an escort in the Artic Sea of Icebreakers, at least one, but they had them, why not use the Icebreaker technology?😮

It was decided instead to put the Headlights on in New York City.
With lights the Titanic's crew would have had ample time to see the Iceberg.
