Correct me if I'm wrong because I heard from my friend. from what my friend said basically MBR are limitation of HDD storage which is he said if i have HDD with storage under 1 TB I choose the MBR and if i have HDD with 1-4 TB I choose GPT is that right?
ОтветитьThank you! Straight to the point.
ОтветитьThank you sir
ОтветитьZettabytes. Jesus. Theres literally no use for that much space.
ОтветитьThanks a bunch!
ОтветитьYou sound like Anthony from linus tech tips with a terrible microphone
ОтветитьSo MBR is better for recovery? I mean that's what was written on screen
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьIn other words, MBR is good for
winPE recovery environments such as a recovery winPE USB or CD (allowing it to boot from pretty much everything) and your actual system should be run on GPT.
side note: if you're upgrading from SATA to NVMe and you notice that you can't boot check and make sure it's not using MBR as some modern BIOS won't boot from MBR Windows 10. luckily a lot of win PE (1703 or later) have a utility built-in with a tool created by Microsoft called MBR2GPT.exe That makes converting from an MBR to GPT painlessly easy and quick.
question: what should i do if i need to swap the SSD to GPT, but it doesnt highlight to change partitions? thx.
ОтветитьThank you =D
ОтветитьThanks really 🤙☺️
