ОтветитьThank you, that was just enough information to begin with....
ОтветитьThis is by far the best simple to understand video on setting sails. Thank you on behalf of my family :)
ОтветитьThis video talked about a genoa. Is it any different for a jib?
ОтветитьMy goal as a student sailor is to learn to make the bottom 80 percentiles look bad and at least try to keep up with some of the others
ОтветитьThank you for this fantastic and informative video. You are a great at teaching and explaining.

ОтветитьOutstanding condensing of the basics. You know what's important and what isn't.
ОтветитьThanks so much
ОтветитьAs a sailing novice I found your instructions to be very clear and helpful. In the midst of so much jargon and terminology, I am always seeking out fundamentals to build upon. You have aided me in my journey! Thanks very much!
ОтветитьWell done! Rey concise and informative!
Ответитьfantastic. You should do more videos
ОтветитьVery good edit!! Just to pinpoint: imagine you're sailing in good stable conditions, does it add something trying to get the upper telltales in line or is the turbulence up there normal, unavoidable or harder to explain?
ОтветитьVery, very helpful. Thank you so much
ОтветитьWow thank you for this brilliant series. Finally decided its time to get out onto the water. Thank you for the easy to understand demonstrations, much appreciated.
ОтветитьBrilliant. So simple but awesome tips.
ОтветитьIs a Jib sail the same as the Jenoa Sail?
ОтветитьSimple. Very good thank you
ОтветитьWhat kind of yacht are they sailing here?
ОтветитьThink of the leading edge of the sail as the front of a wing on a jet. The curvature into the wind causes lift and “pulls the boat forward. In a broad reach or downwind you are being pushed by the wind. The fastest you will go is on a close reach with a proper curvature on the sails to give you the most forward lift of your sails (wings). 😊👍
ОтветитьGood information
ОтветитьThank you that was taught very well nice and simple and straightforward, I had no idea that “telltale “ was a nautical term I am still smiling about it
ОтветитьG’day, I’m not a sailors boot lace but your explanations on how this all works is easy to help understand the theory of sailing😎🍺👍
Ответитьdoes the tip of the boom being over the primary winch on a beam reach work for all size boats? great stuff btw
ОтветитьHaven’t sailed in years but looking to get back into it. These videos are great, thank you.
ОтветитьPerfect
ОтветитьGreat insight. Where was this filmed?
ОтветитьWill u hv a video showing us how to control mainsail traveller, including when to adjust the traveller when to adjust the side via the winches ?
ОтветитьPractical and clear explaining, thanks!
ОтветитьBeautifully and simply explained. Thank you so much!
ОтветитьThis is awesome! Thank you for the clear and simple explination. I have often heard it said that your sails need to be properly trimmed but never knew what they werre talking about.
ОтветитьAwesome video. Just enough info to be interesting, just concise enough to keep my attention.
ОтветитьThe editing and graphics used is next level. Which software do you use to make those graphics of boat 🚢 and wind.
ОтветитьThank you for this. I got lines everywhere . A tiller in my hand. The wind changing directions constantly and the only thing I've found I don't like about sailboats...obscured view of where I'm going. Only had her under sail once so far. But it was sweet! The keel started humming and I could feel her come to life. Only trouble I get so focused on all this trimming I almost forgot to pay attention to where I'm going. I'm lost but hooked. 🤷♂️
Ответить😊☺️
ОтветитьI agree, please make more content! Sailing lessons are so expensive and reading just isn’t the same
ОтветитьSo easily explained.. Thanks a lot
ОтветитьI screen shot your instructions and have them handy when I'm sailing !
ОтветитьStraight to the point and suitable for earlier stage sailors. Brilliant
ОтветитьExcellent points on elementary sail and boom trimming
Ответитьepic thx
ОтветитьDo your trim guidelines apply to Catamaran? Or Monohull only?
Ответить
