ОтветитьAnother great video Ana. Happy Christmas to you ❤
ОтветитьNice video, thanks! Merry Christmas.
ОтветитьHi Ana as much as I’ve tried to not buy things I look back over the past year and see I’ve bought to much so 2025 on the wagon with you to be very mindful and not buy unnecessary items as matter of fact I need to change a lot of things in my life it actually feels like a full life reset thank you for your video I look forward in going forward throughout 2025 with you merry Christmas and best wishes to you for the coming year 🌻🪴
ОтветитьMERRY CHRISTMAS, DEAR ANA! Have a glamorous festive season!
ОтветитьThe more I learn about you as a person, the more I understand why I've been drawn to your channel and approach sharing to life, minimalism, spending, etc. The things that matter to a person who has felt a lot of instability, dearth, loss, and unmet needs is very different than someone who is trying to climb out from under a pile of excessive comfort. You show a lot of wisdom in understanding your need to nest while still showing restraint, knowing that impulsive feathering of the nest doesn't solve the underlying tension in your life. I really appreciate that. All the best in the Christmas season and in the new year, Ana!
ОтветитьМне нравится ваш стиль. Я надеюсь что вы поделитесь своими мыслями о своей одежде в будущем видео. Большое спасибо и счастливых праздников.
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьJoyeux Noël à toi, Ana 🌲❄️✨
Next Year I will focus on my health and on what brings me joy, trying to worry less. It is easier said than done, right ?
I also slow down on creative leisure products 😅
I wanted to ask you a question : as a person who tries not to keep a lot of stuff, how do you deal with all the art pieces you create like collages, paintings… do you keep them all ?
Happy New Year!
I would like to suggest something which might sound contradictory. However I hope you take it as a positive input.
There is a limit to the bottom of a frugal life. Focus on increasing your income. “Increase” has no limit. Of course, you can still continue to live below your means; but the higher revenue leaves more margin for rainy days and more disposable income to enjoy life.
Cheers!
Your surgery was successful and this was very, very, good. May 2025 be a healthy one for you both, Ana. Nice video ❤
ОтветитьIn 2024 I had an unexpected opportunity to earn extra money by playing piano at my church. I tried to view this as a bonus with which I could relax my budget a bit and at the same time be more generous to certain charities. I did buy more knitting supplies but was also able to donate a sizeable amount to a family struggling to pay medical bills for one of their children who had multiple surgeries this year (and now, thankfully, seems to be doing well). The position will continue so I plan to deliberately set aside more to give away in 2025. ❤
ОтветитьDearest Ana thank you for a year of wonderful content. You have bravely faced so many challenges & I wish you & Brian an easier & more prosperous 2025. Good health & happiness love from Sharon in Israel 🇮🇱 ❤️ Praying for worldwide Peace 🙏
ОтветитьHappy Holidays!
ОтветитьI am a dreamer when it comes to being a low-buy consumer. So, a big attraction to watching your channel is getting your insights to make me reflect and try to be better. Merry Christmas. Thanks!
ОтветитьHi Ana 🙂 I totally love everything you make. You're creative and you love beauty and after all isn't creativity one of the most attractive ways of expressing your personality? Love love love the cardigan by the way, the color looks fantastic on you. Is it crocheted?
I'm going to try another low buy year, a lot happened in my private life and things got out of hand. Sorting out perfectly fine, good clothes and donating them is just too painful.
Hope you have a great time wherever you are. Happy Holidays to you and Brian and Happy New Year 💚
Thank you for this beautiful, funny and honest video;-) It really really inspires me to take a critical look at my spending too (oh oh..)- which is all over the place unfortunately. A low-buy for 2025 sounds like a very good idea. (Just the how, what, aaah...)
But for now - I'm just gonna stick my head in the sand a little bit longer and enjoy the christmas days ahead.
Have a wonderful end of the year!
I've been very careful this year (mostly!). I decided to make a strict budget for different areas and have mostly kept to it. For 2025 I will make a similar budget.
I think I have had one disaster spend. My partner loves ice cream so I bought an ice cream maker which I used a few times. But we moved and now live near a shop where he can get ice cream whenever he likes, so I don't need to make it any more!
❤ Don't feel bad about the picknick blanket. It doesn't go bad and the next summer will come. So it's something to look forward to.
ОтветитьAna, please do not regret the wardrobe purchases! They were each carefully chosen to match with more than one item you already had, and also meant to be worn all year round. Also, they all look great on you! Wishing you and Brian a very Safe and Merry Christmas! 🎄🕊
ОтветитьRandomly stumbled across your channel a few months ago, and have loved it. Been seeing a lot in the news about the instability in Georgia, and hoping the best for you both. For the picnic blanket, you could always have an indoor picnic; you don't have to worry about the wind or bugs getting into your food that way! Also, that snail bird drawing you did is incredible! Like others here, I will definitely be doing a as low as possibly buy for 2025.
ОтветитьThank you Ana
ОтветитьI feel you regarding costs for health reasons and making art. I started crocheting in February this year and ever since made a few blankets, amigurumi, bags, a raglan pullover and I always have new project in mind. Currently crocheting vampire lips with a tongue and teeth, even blood drops. That'll be art for my wall. I spent quite a bit of money on yarn this year, luckily acrylic yarn isn't too pricey. And then I've been seeing a chiropractor for chronic pain in my shoulder, biceps/triceps after pulling a muscle while working out. Unfortunately our health care system in the UK doesn't cover cost for chiropractor treatment. My cat needed treatment for his health and I hope both of us will be top notch 2025.
ОтветитьI have been working on getting out of debt—we’ve had some emergencies that set us back, but slowly I’m getting there. I also think I’m going to go on a book-buying ban until the end of February because I have more than I’ve been able to keep pace with reading. I do this periodically, as books are my main hobby and sometimes I buy them faster than I can read them. Happy holidays to you 💜
ОтветитьThank you Ana for this video. ❤ Happy Christmas!
ОтветитьI have found that the more I create the happier I am. However, I have way more craft supplies that I need so my goal has been and will continue to be to work through them until they are gone. I get so interested in so may projects. I like to build and make things with wood, old tin cans along with painting. needle work and other projects so I’m planning a no buy year for these things.
ОтветитьI'm glad you seem physically fine and I'm wishing you health and healing going forward. Please don't be hard on yourself, consumerism is tricky for all of us. The blender looks really beautiful, actually!
ОтветитьDon't beat yourself up. We all do it. You should see my wardrobe. With your clothes only get rid of them if you don't like or won't wear them. It's better for the environment 'to keep what you have'. The other plus is it could stop you purchasing replacements in the next few years because other clothes have been worn many more times.
ОтветитьGlad your surgery went well. Wishing you great health and sufficient wealth in 2025.
ОтветитьDearest Ana, I’m so happy your surgery went well and it’s over now. I love your creativity. You are so talented. Your home looks lovely and warm and cozy. I wish you and Brian Happy Holidays and a wonderful and prosperous New Year! 🩷
ОтветитьDo not worry about money, you will be fine . None of us have enough money.
ОтветитьGlad you are feeling better and very happy to see that you bought some exercise gear.
ОтветитьI very much resonate with your trying to balance your finances. For many years I suffered a lot of financial insecurity. I'm now 69 and have been debt free for a very long time. I live frugally, always evaluating weather or not I need to purchase something. I seek out bargains, often waiting months and sometimes years for an inexpensive version of what I want (IF I still want it after that much time). I make due with little, wear my clothes until they wear out, cook my own food and mostly purchase used items. I spend a lot of time making art and adapting used items to fit my home decor. Despite this, my life is very rich - mostly because I spend my time creatively and I have deep connections with others.
I loved your comments about needing an attractive environment and creative supplies in order to be content. Those are the keys to my happiness too. I too have found that the key to being satisfied with my spending is to ask myself if I would regret not buying something. Having a waiting period before making a purchase is very helpful in determining weather or not to make a purchase. If I can afford it and I would regret passing on the item, I buy it. When purchases are well thought, it's good advice not to beat yourself up if something you've purchased doesn't meet the expectations you had when you purchased it, especially if the money used to buy it wasn't needed somewhere else.
I would love a video about you analyzing your wardrobe and what you find valuable/how you manage a smaller collection of clothes with varying seasons and occasions! This was the first video I watched of yours, and I love your insight and reflections, cheers to 2025!
ОтветитьI love your honesty and balanced approach to life. I can really relate to the scarcity mindset. I grew up in a family where money was scarce, and eventhough I consider myself well off now, I have a hard time letting go of the scarcity mindset, which has led to overconsumption on fibre related hobbies. I have materials for at least 5 five years of crafting. Next year, is going to be a low buy year/ no buy year for me concerning crafts. I am going to allow myself a budget a month. But it will go to finishing projects that are already in my list for which I already bought the majority of materials.
ОтветитьI'm also doing a low buy in 2025, and I am just completing my first one here in 2024. It helped me end some bad habits, and I hope to make more progress with that and also increase my creativity with making wardrobe items and modifying what I already own. You have such wonderful style that I find very inspiring!
