Why do people critize him? Do they forget that the humans exist? If asgore used the one soul he had to break the barrier, the humans would be pissed off and trap them underground again. And he understandably would want 7 souls so his kind doesnt suffer anymore and can live without fear.

Can we just appreciate the excerpt from heartache in there? I feel like it really completes the song.

I love how the entire game, you are lead to belive that Asgore is the final boss. Yet he isn't. No route has him as the true "final" boss.
On the pacyfist route, the final boss is Asriel Dreemur (Close, thats his son, but it's not Asgore)
Neutral route: Your "best" nightmare, Omega Flowey (..Also, kinda his son... But like, you know.)
Genocide: Sans. Sure.. Asgore is the last person you kill (NOT counting Flowey) but can you really even call this a fight? You have him on one hit and hes gone.
I don't know why, but it's funny and kinda sad at the same time. Asgore, the literal king of monsters, overshadowed by a random skeleton in slippers with one hp. Tbh Asgore, both as the character as in this track, deserve more love.








I don't really think Toriel will give any tho.

The fact that Asgore's name is in red when spoken by Toriel, but other monsters speak his name in yellow, might signify that Asgore broke the Mercy button because:
-His name is yellow (Yellow-named enemies can be spared)
-He doesn't think he deserves to be spared
