Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire Item Duplication Glitch

Just now realizing because of the cut in the middle of the video, does "send to PC" mean send to Pokemon Center? I always thought it was personal computer, but the center has PC written on the front... really makes you think.

ffs this didnt work for me. instead of it consuming the mail and duping the item, it just swaps them like normal

Good job! Does it works also in double battle in battle tower? Because I finished the double roaming battles and my internal battery is over

Do you have to repeat the whole process again to do this at a different time? Or is the ????? Item in your inventory the key to doing it?

I failed the first time I attempted this glitch on my English copy of Sapphire. I then caught three more Pokémon, so that I had 5 rather than just the two in the double battle, and it worked perfectly. It looks like you need 5 Pokémon.

Whoa! It worked I did just how u said to do it.. then I figured out how to continue it without having all 4 zigzagoon.. u need just keep one zigzagoon that knows thief move and the rest of your pokemon can be anyone u want in your party but have to hold 4 harbor mail in order to continue duplicate items. I done it myself. I actually copy ???????? Item then kept one on me n one PC in case u want to transfer it to other game Sapphire or Ruby.(also in early game u can come across PP UP or PROTEIN with zigzagoon if help u make alot money if u don't get Nugget early in the game. Both items can sell for $4900 at POke Mart.)

Some items to duplicate: Moon Stone in Ruby, Sun Stone in Sapphire, DeepSeaTooth & DeepSeaScale (good to have spares), Kelpsy, Palmtre (in dry battery carts for feebass), Liechi Berry or any other high-end berries, one-off type enchancing items, master ball, PP Max, (Max)Elixir & (Max)Ether, Every TM, Soul Dew, Heart Scale (even if it's easy to get), Important hold items like White Herb, Mental Herb, Leftovers and Battle Tower obtained items.

Feel free to add more you can think of.

I don’t even remove the ??? Item. I just swap it with the rare candy then mail. Works perfectly I even cloned the ??? Item 12 times

Huge thanks for this video! I tried it on my copy of Sapphire last night and I was able to duplicate a ton of berries! Finally an easy way around the dead battery clock!

After nearly 20 years I might finally get that final contest trophy!

some additional notes:
I used covet on a linoone instead of thief, and used the repeatable reporters double battle that moves around. (apparently that battle has a 255 battle limit but Im guessing most people havent hit that)

Btw you can’t buy anymore mail after you do this

Worked fantastically for me, thank you! I was lucky enough to only be 2 badges in when I found your guide, so was able to follow this exact timing.

Tips:
* full party of Zigzagoon isn't necessary for glitch, but does give you max use of the Pick Up ability, multiplying likelihood of speedy rare item acquisition.
* Pick Up only procs (at 10% rate for Nugget/Rare Candy) once you WIN a battle. Pokemon with the ability does not have to participate.
* Giving from the Bag menu is faster than doing it from the Pokemon menu (less inputs required).

What if I finish and want to do it again? Same steps? Just make another '??????' item?

Does the ???? Item cause any damage to save file or anything similar to pomeg corruption since it deals with tinkering with game data?

And once I'm done duplicating my chosen items, is there any way to safely get rid of the ???? Item or is it permanent on my save file?

And one last question, has anyone gotten a bad egg from doing this or is that even possible? Because from the look of things it seems harmless sorta like the Emerald cloning glitch :p
