Loved this scene. This is what ya do in the Zombie Apoc you waste everyone humans are bad people.

This scene, to me, perfectly shows how determined Joel is to go after Ellie and save her.

Imma just say that the fireflies aren’t elite soldiers,they are mostly made out of idiots from quarantine zones that have a low shooting accuracy like how could they even have trained in a QZ(some idiots would have definitely hear the training gun shoots and report to FEFRA) and they also don’t have any survival skills considering they have been in a firefly base or a FEDRA QZ for the literal past 20 years.

This scene was so laughable. Sure in the video game Joel proves times and again how badass he is but in the tv show the character is just a talker who kept getting his ass handed to him and having the woman characters save it... this scene just didnt work when you consider the rest of the tv show!

Him taking one kind of rifle of one guy then taking mags of the 2nd guy with another kind of rifle was hella stupid for such a good show.

I'm sad we didn't get the scene where he basically shoots the guy just to get info from him. That scene has stuck with me from the game for years.

Real shame they're gonna completely fuck all this up in the second season by following Neil's storyline. This could have been a chance to undo that wretched mistake.

I don’t remember seeing this, I guess I didn’t finish watching it.

In the game this works so much better because we've killed hordes of infected, armies of raiders, hunters, FEDRA: it's going to be difficult but we've seen Joel's capabilities. Here after killing what..less then 10 armed guys/infected in the season, usually in 1v1s or at a distance, now all of a sudden we're shown this Joel is the same as the videogame, that he can just go postal and can fend off a highly armed militia in their own base?

I know it's an unpopular opinion but god, what a boring adaptation. Only thing the game had going for it were the two main characters and that relationship. Here it's just a verbatim retelling of that relationship, but now also all the side characters who didn't matter and all the little details of how the world works also get fleshed out: all the uninteresting stuff that's kind of neat on a wikipedia page or is cool when you find it in game files, but is ultimately just set dressing.

i always kill the nurse in my gameplay, disappointed in the show they survived.

I know this is all meant to show how much Joel cares for Ellie and how far he's willing to go to protect her. But on the other side, how many husbands, brothers, sons and lovers did Joel just murder? Like i get it, he cares for Ellie like she's his daughter but does that really make what my guy did morally right?

But i can over look all this because Joel is a hardened Survivor who lost everything and just wants to keep the one thing he has left safe.

Its not a hard choice, let the girl give her life to save all of humanity. Besides they literally wont have a good life living with those creatures out there. Man people make zero sense.

I really hope they make a unique story for a few seasons and don't follow the trash that is the second game for a while so we at least get more of joel

This scene would be epic if it wasn't just sad. It's hard to see Joel go on a rampage without mercy even though we knew he wasn't a good person anyways

This show has some great moments but it really didn’t do the game real justice.

We want to entrust the cure to civilization, with an army of people who couldn't stop one guy from advancing through a series of corridors and chokepoints? This entire group is completely inept. They just wanted to scramble her brain, they had no cure in mind.

Fireflies should have been nicer to Joel.
