This is all hotkeys. Useless if you have only 1 hand. Only full time users will ever use hot key controls. The rest of us have jobs, work and real lives outside Blender.

ctrl+e (or was it shift+e?) sets subdivision crease, so use that to get the subdivider to more closely follow your geometry

I'm a beginner and he lost me at bringing up the rings. I don't know how he selected all the top edge and brought it up. I had to use "extrude." This guy goes way to fast for beginner like me.

I finally learned how to use nodes. My models went from 5/10 to 9/10

I can't get the bevel to work properly. It's in edit mode and layout. It seemed only to almost work once. Do I need to add something in preferences first? Anyone can answer this.

It would be really useful if the Bender team actually added a new feature for duplicated vertices sitting on top of each other or at close proximity... like you get some kind of auto alter or the vertices flash a different colour, because it is really hard to notice copies....though, thinking about it now, isn't there an auto merge feature that could always be kept on.. hmmmm

Anyone get duplicate overlapping edge loops happening during modelling? Using extrude, bevel and loop cut on a subd and down the line will find duplicate edges all over the place that shouldn't have occurred.

Regardless of your technique, the video is awesome and very easy to follow. All these negative comments are trash as your way of doing tutorials is genius. Definitely the best tutorial for modeling on blender by far.

1- bevel 2-loopcut 3- subdivsion modifier 4 mirror modifier and 5 i havent found out yet.. :D

I'm sad that there was no part on how to finish it with materials for it to look like yours :(. Other than, I am thankful for any tutorial on the internet so all is good. For me, it was a bit fast and under-instructed but for another it may not be fast enough, so, yea. But I do find the materials part a shame.
