Makes perfect sense.
Just picture a guy who’s able to Hotwire cars, fly a plane, pick any lock, access heating and A/C systems, decipher complex landline phone systems, and the list goes on and on.

Out of the CAG operators, I enjoyed Mike S. and Chris. This is based on their polar opposite ways of storytelling and honesty.

I would suspect the easy and simple answer is it's open to all branches because all represent America 🤷🏼‍♂️ Why hold back on potential talent because one group wears short shorts at PT and the other wears a scarf with their uniform and then there's the people with their hands in their pockets. 😉

German Tier One - the KSK - even recruited THEORETICALLY from outside the military, so it was THEORETICALLY possible for civilians to apply. They dropped this option lately as far as i know.

I don't agree why the US allows ordinary people to join the seals straight off the street..and if you can't make seal training why the hell do you ring that stupid bell...
I mean cmon how degrading is that...
Personally you saying that Delta can recruit really anyone with a valuable skill..
Hence making them the number 1..
Well British SF has been doing that for years...

Excellent video, just a comment, the SAS also recruits from any branch of the Military, only requiring a previous minimum enlistment of 2 years. 22 SAS also accepts exceptional civilian applicants.

I believe delta take from everywhere, is because Charlie Beckwith served with 22SAS and that's how 22SAS do it.. And the reason was this..Because so many young men, walked into the recruitment centre with no knowledge of the military, they just need to escape their life, their mother has kicked them out, or they've lost their job and need another and those people walk in, and the recruiting Sgt will talk them into all sorts of shit, I know blokes who were talked into the medical corps when they are excellent infantry material.. So the SAS takes from everyone so those people, who were hidden gems, talked into the wrong regiments, who are excellent SF material, get the chance to go be what they were supposed to be.. And I imagine that's why Delta do it too.

I want to hear about the black berets(delta force) who work on alien retrieval teams.

The most secret of usa military operations, ie delta force personnel going on alien retrieval operations.

Callsign = Yellowfruit for all alien related operations.

The most secret operations in american military, thats what they should find people who were on those teams, and put them in a mask or something, and get them to tell there story of going against aliens.

Thats what i want to hear from delta force black berets.

Gunny Oakes, was one of my Ranger Instructors in Dahlonega (Mountain Phase). Hands down the most intense man I have ever met in my career. The man was no nonsense but had a way to really make you think about what the heck you were doing and why it mattered when it came to combat. His physical presence put you in awe, period.

The worlds most capable and honored Tier 1 unit with the hardest recruitment process is the British SAS, with all do respect.
Those men don't serve their country, they serve their King directly.

I was army infantry and always heard they psych eval is they are looking for type A personality. You can actually tell the difference in a retired delta guy versus a retired oda guy. I used to be a training analyst at SOTD (spec ops training detachment) I was there on 9/11 and after, when they expanded in size and went from 3 digit to 4 digit oda team numbers. I can mostly spot a team guy instantly but I've come across delta guys and seriously thought they were civilians. I showed a guy around our mout complex and he was picking spots for targets and a couple other things they wanted to do then he wanted to know the best fishing spots near by. I thought he was like a gs guy from ft Irwin that was with an oda, basically like me. After he left, i was letting my boss know what we needed to put together for him and i asked who the guy was because it's usually a Major from sn SF Company like an S4 or something but i told my boss this guy was civilian i think. He laughed and said that's a Delta team leader. They came in the next night and did a live fire. I think they came over the radio twice, hot then cleared. We record it all then provide them with a dvd (back then) which the odas will watch the next day and talk about. Just a standard AAR. I called over to the SOTD cadre to let them know it was ready. Maybe 3 days later the delta guy came in and told me just to shred the dvd and thanked me for the fishing spots. Turned out they went fishing for the next 3 days and completely skipped the rest of range time they had.

RRC is tier 1 and they also accept people from any branch or background of military as long as they meet a certain rank requirement (I think E-4 or E-5)

I Myself, John Rodriguez, really and truly paid attention to when Chris Van Sant told Shawn Ryan that Marines in Delta Force, are held onto by the Corps , and, return to the Fleet Marine Force ( FMF) after a tour of duty in a Squadron as an Operator. Major Todd Opalski and Gunnery Sergeant Keith Oakes are examples of Force Recon Marines - cum- Delta Force Operators.🇺🇲🇺🇸🦅🌎⚓👿🐕🪖💣💥🇺🇲🇺🇸‼️

That , Courtesy of the Shawn Ryan Show, is the " beauty" of the 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment - Delta ( Army Compartmentalized Element ( Airborne) ). What is that? The " beauty" of " The Unit" is that, although It is Army - centric ,rife with Rangers and Special Forces Soldiers, Delta Force Operators come from the Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, and Coast Guard, whether Active Duty, Reserve Component, or National Guard. And that is why I Myself, John Rodriguez,a Prior Service USMC and US Army Veteran, respect that philosophy from America's Best Tier One Special Missions Unit, capable of CounterTerrorism, Hostage Rescue, WMD Counter-proliferation, and Direct Action Raids.🇺🇲🇺🇸🪖💣💥🪂🤿🥷🇺🇲🇺🇸‼️
