Hey do you know whether there is a time limit on when you can upgrade to 11 or can it be done at any time in the future?

Usually there's a downgrade as some features get nerfed.

Nice video. I’m still on the fence tho. Cannot see plugins in scene launch by clicking . You still have to go to the bottom of the page. Cubase and Luna give you that functionality. Cpu usage is another thing. I. Don’t go crazy with plugins but I have my creative pallet. I hate being stopped .Also ,what’s the deal with waves servers. They inherently don’t work well with Ableton. That’s messed up. I hope they do something about that.

I'm a little surprised to see you dismiss all the UI changes as if there are none. For starters: if you enter the clip view then the changes are pretty huge, yet you fully glossed over that. While you mentioned comping (which is pretty much the most noticeable change) I missed out on things like the rack expansion which is just as huge (maybe even a bit bigger?).

I will stick with Logic , I tested the Live 11 beta version and it is much better than 10, the template functionality and the scale mode is great but stops short at scale snapping, which is surprising , given the amount of user requests for it . I have the softube console fader which is not supported by Logic but is by Ableton, so I was hoping for better things from Live 11. THere's still no native ARE support for melodyne , no inline track midi processing for plug ins like Scaler and exporting a project as midi is still not possible. As far as I am aware you can only export single clips as midi. Most of the new devices and the spitfire packs are only available in the suite . There is no support for articulation sets . Most of the stuff I do these days is orchestral hybrid music , so I miss that plus the midi processing in logic. I wish I could sketch in Live and arrange and mix in Logic.

Performance wise, you should probably monitor the cpu usage from the system monitoring and not the ableton live cpu dialog. I don’t know how it does it but it doesn’t reflect the actual usage, at least in Windows. Ableton Live shows a much higher value than what the application process is actually using.

You come across some channels, that you enjoy and subscribe and then a few months later, you notice their no of subscribers, and the wtf. Have been watching Ben's content for months now, and only just noticed her has only 8k subs, wtf, why is he not up there with Andertons & PMTV, no justice.....
