ОтветитьSo I am a very short guy with a large build, in that I have very broad shoulders, large chest, and have have always been very heavy for my height. That had been a combination of very overweight combined with medical conditions, but recently have trimmed down over 30kgs, and nearly as light as I was in high school, but what I would like your advice on, is how does a short broad shouldered and generally muscly person adjust towards callisthenics?
For context, I am 5’6” and am now 87kgs compared to 118kgs a few years ago….
Oh and I used to bench press 120kg, and leg press 450kg when I was in my early twenties…. That was 20 years ago!

ОтветитьFor a 73 kg dude lifting 135 kg is insane, considering he does not do this on a regular basis. Even if he was, that's extremely impressive.

I mean I am not even a quarter that trained as you, but I did “easy” calisthenics all my life and can do even some advanced exercises, but then I tried CrossFit recently and I just hated that trading with that barbell. It’s something totally different then Training with you own body weight.

Ответитьног вообще нет , никто не жмет больше чем приседает в принципе ))) не умение бороться со сверх напряжением. Наличие силы от турников и брусьев = наличие силы от турников и брусьев. Через месяц 150 не пожмешь , как сказал тренер ), потому что ты не с улицы пришел после пива, а верхняя часть тела уже имеет тренированность, оп сути ты не с нуля стартуешь , а это решающий фактор в скорости развития.

I find that my body is becoming more efficient as an entire unit rather than being just strong on very specific motion
I have a whole lot more respect for calisthenics now and I have been missing out my entire life.
My body can take much more intensity with calisthenics since there are no weights but my own and it’s not wearing down my lower back at all
Really happy with this style of training especially to help accommodate my conditions
