I saw a video recently and the man was saying that the methamphetamine that the people are smoking now is so contaminated with various poisons and that is why the users are unable to function correctly and have jobs and somewhat normal life.
In the past, methamphetamine was not good, but now its very very bad, and ruins life routines and physical bodies very very fast and hard.
Thats the reason for the massive increase in this mad max scene.

It seems that most cities are headed in the direction of no laws. DA's releasing criminals back onto the streets where they go hurt someone else and the police having their hands tied behind their backs which has resulted in not having enough police due to people resigning. When the cities were going nuts in 2020, here in rural America life went on as normal.

No laws? I stopped by Slab City 2 days ago. These people have more "no trespassing", "No taking pictures", speed limit signs, more regulations than any city I have ever visited. I recommend visiting Slab City and while you are in the area, go see Bombay Beach. The metal sculptures in Anza Borrego are amazing.
