I'd love it but as weird as it sounds I can't deal with those emojis

I don’t think I ever use iMessage or even text message unless it’s to authenticate a login. Otherwise everyone I know has been using WhatsApp for yeeaaars. Recently we switched to telegram.

Get the EU on the case, they're pretty good at persuading Apple to do the right thing.

Awesome but as a former lover of apple. Ya. But sending high resolution anything via text. Ummm. Hmmm with so many socials and other applications it seems irrelevant

I have friends in India and abroad and some of them have iPhones and most of them at large don’t use iMessage. Because most of chats and important group texts are on whatsapp. If RCS kind of feature is brought in video call then Facetime will take a hit. And the ecosystem will be endangered.

According to me apple should not accept RCS because imessage is just a perfect platform to interact. google have launched so many apps like google talk hangouts and google duo etc but later on all went down. Apple user are happy in their ecosystem people who are using andriod they are just complaining about imessage. all my friends use imessage and if on person is not using imessage then i transfer stuff him/her only then i use what's app

I love stamping emote reactions on text bubbles on Android and then the iphone users experience: 😂 at "............………" It's hilarious.

If anyone pushes Apple to adopt RCS, it will be the German government (the leaders of the EU). Mark my words.

Please note: iMessage has to be turned on in iPhone settings just like RCS needs to be turned on.

On my Android the text input field says "RCS message" when I'm messaging an RCS enabled receiving device. Otherwise, it says "Text message."

Your video is great!

It’s only business guys…why Apple should give to android users one of his most popular services for free? It’s a service that invented Apple, for his devices…Why Apple should open the doors? He wouldn’t have no benefits. Just facts…

This is the problem with RCS rhat you need to enable it and approve some bs… iMessage works from OOTB… No bs…. Apple would never bend to that archaic way of doing things.

Apple needs international pressure just to start putting USB C port on their phone instead of lightning. So I don't think they'll have RCS ever because they need to be different.

What is the importance to this RCS? I have both phones and I didn't see anything important? Just intrusive spying from unknown sources! Or explain it...

I usually switch every other phone. For iPhone it's basically just for iMessage. But I don't even use it all that much so I always switch back to Android because I mostly prefer it tbh. I can use the former if I need to but if they both had RCS it would be a wrap lol.

The ball is in iPhone's court. They should support RCS since it's the universal standard independent of platform. Whereas iMessage is strictly for iPhone users.

I took the text message backup from my iPhone. Most of these text messages were simple SMS which companies send when you buy something online e.g. "Thx you for shopping, you spent 3$ here.." When I moved these SMS to my android (Samsung), all of them show as MMS on android. Any clue why its so?

The strategy that Google is using may not have made sense to everyone initially but the strategy was to get all carriers to adopt RCS which is now virtually complete. Now the tactic is to keep creating messaging parity with iMessage. I can see that at some point the communications governing bodies decide to do away with SMS and go completely RCS. Apple will receive a timeline to comply and if Apple allows it to get to this point people will start leaving because they can get the same functionality on Android phones. And people don't like poor sports like Apple. I know a lot of iPhone users that are looking at the Pixel 7 now looking to switch. Apple's strategy could prove very damaging. This is chess not checkers. ♟️♟️

Everyone at my work environment has an iPhone, and I'm usually the only person that causes the group chat bubble to be "green", and I would always get the "laughed at an image" text when someone reacts to an image in the group chat from an iPhone. My coworkers know that I don't get the emoji react, and they make jokes about it sometimes (not in a mean way). Now, I can't wait to get back at all of them with the new update that lets me see the emoji reaction and REACT BACK, they will get the "laughed at an image" text from me all the freaking time! Can't wait to have it on my Pixel 6 Pro! Lol

If someone judges you based on a color of a text bubble, then they are delusional. iPhone users call me a poor android user even though my Samsung Galaxy Note 20 was over $1000. It’s stupid… I don’t get how apple managed to weaponize the iPhone community with just a text color bubble

Apple users don’t care if the bubble is blue or green. If you are on iOS it’s blue if not it’s green all iOS users care about is getting the message across. Google has made this a big thing because RCS doesn’t work as iMessage does in iOS. Google needs to perfect RCS it’s not apple’s fault Google is behind.
