Where do l get lexico or longman dictionary in online? Could you give me the websites or links of these dictionaries?

It's surprising you didn't talk about Oxford online dictionary.

Another feature can be included in tests which is important for me is the simplicity and plainness of the definitions. In some dictionaries you have to look up 3-4 more words to understand the definition of the intended word. It's better to have the definitions composed with common words as much as possible and not to have readers to lookup more words (those more words can require also other jumps). I have used Macmillian dictionary for years, because of the simplicity of their definitions, but sadly they have closed their online dictionary service 6 months ago.

Included synonyms could be useful I suppose, but any other features I wouldn't care too much for...

Do you have lexico dictionary link?

I have Oxford Advanced dictionary(paperback) and I like it but contains only 4000 words. For C1 needs 10000.
I have Collins pocket Treasures what is a synomime dictionary is good for everyday slang words but no explanation.
I have a Hungarian-English dictionary (1998)but it contains too many "old English" (1950's)words what not useable nowadays.

How can we use Lexico . I am unable to find.

I've came across this video looking to see which dictionary would be best for me to use since Macmillan closed a few months ago. It was really good, I wish I understood why they closed -- Lexico closed as well. @Oxford Online English do you have any idea?

In my opinion, i find meriem webster to be useful not as a dictionary although i use it sometimes to look up words but mostly i use it's thesaures to look up synonyms and antonyms. This is the main feature that i like about meriem webster online dictionary and i think it can be really useful for ESL learners.

I mostly use Cambridge and English Wiktionary now.

Merriam Webster is the one who tells the most essential meaning for each word.

Why didn't you include Oxford on the review

Why do some dictionaries define adequate as meeting the requirements, while other dictionaries add a second meaning saying it could also mean barely satisfactory? Is there a subtle difference in interpretation here?
