This song hits hard in several ways. I lost both my parents six days apart back in 2009. I was only 27 at the time. Every time I hear this song it reminds me of them.

Also, there's the part with the painting of Dale Earnhardt (his widow Teresa is the woman). I was a diehard Dale Sr. fan and he died on my mom's birthday back in 2001. I was watching that race live. His death like many fans hit me hard. It felt in a way like losing a family member.

Lost my dad in January. He died from a reaction to chemotherapy. I feel guilty because i talked him into taking it because he had dozens of skin cancers and he wouldnt let the dr cut on him after having many removed. Played this at his funeral. I cry every time i hear it.

6 months ago I lost my Dad, he passed away during his dialysis treatment. That morning he went in at 5 am, he was awake for the first 3 hours and he only had 45 minutes to finish his treatment. Then he called one of the nurses to come over to him, so the nurse went over to see what he needed and he said, "Do me a favor when my daughter arrives today in the afternoon for her treatment, please tell her that I love her so much and for her to take care of herself." My dad passed away in his sleep 😴 at 9 am and never woke up again 😢, when I found out that he said that, I started crying 😭 so bad that all the nurses came over to me to give me the condolences. That day my life without him is not the same I miss so much, my father and I we were inseparable we were always together everywhere grocery shopping, Drs appointments, I know everything about him his medications was taking, his Drs specialists I was the only one who taje care of him before he went into the nursing home and my middle brother took charge (POA) cause I'm also in dialysis too but my legs was losing strength but that didn't stop me to go visit my dad at the nursing home. My dad was not my Father by blood, he raised me when I was 1 year old and he loved me so much that for him I was his princess. And I know God above has my crown full of diamonds for being a great daughter for my Dad. That's why everyone should love your parents and take care of them, because our parents took care of us when we were kids and now is time to pay and love them what they did for us. I grew up hearing this song and it hit even harder when my grandfather past, I can’t wait to see him again it’s unexplainable💙

My uncle mikael Passed away

My mom passed in a car accident in 2011 just a mile from home… we played this song at her funeral. Seeing my momma in that casket while playing this song in my head, I think thats the hardest thing I’ll ever have to go through in this lifetime.
It still brings the tears today, one thing is for sure. It doesn’t get easier, I just strive to make her proud.
I wish she could meet her grandchildren and her daughter in law 😢
