As a Medic main, I am deeply saddened that there is no subclass. I mean Sniper as an archer subclass at least, what do I got? I got a statue of some dudes head and a migraine from dealing with teammates you bounce around like a grasshopper on speed when I’m trying to heal them.

As cool as subclasses are, the only one that actually exists imo is demoknight. All other ones is just using one very specific item and then having a couple other items that synergise with it.

Demoknight has multiple shields, multiple boots and multiple Melee weapons centered around supporting the playstyle (movement speed buffs, more health, heal on kill). If you remove the Market gardener or the Homewrecker, for instance, Trolldier and Pybro just stop existing.

I wish there were more official subclasses like demoknight and battle engi. An actual weapon for heavy primary that makes fat scout more reliable would be cool.

i used to suck at trolldier, but coming back to tf2 after about a year hiatus i just keep the market gardener equipped and let the voices tell me when to jump in with reckless abandon and my shovel out, and it for some reason works more than it doesn't
