Is it wetter than the Noddles fish tail
ОтветитьPlaced an order. There is going to be a mad rush to get this for the nib. Outstanding!
ОтветитьThank you for sharing!
ОтветитьVery nice. The Waterman’s pen springs back from flexes considerably quicker. #8 flex nib is super special
ОтветитьI was hoping the 9019 would come with a fude nib, but this is better. Just ordered mine. Thanks for this update.
ОтветитьNow this is a tempting pen! Thanks for the intro and review!
ОтветитьWould that very long slit, extending beyond the breather hole, tend to split the nib? Also, is that plastic or dried ink in the fins of the feed? Would the pen be even more gushy if the material in the fins were cleaned out? Also, I wonder, though you advise against pulling the nib and feed, if this Bobby nib will work with the original feed for the 9019 so the converter could be used? Thanks again for your very informative and fun reviews, Chris.
ОтветитьNice review! The geometry change you see in the Waterman's No2 nib as it flexes common in vintage flex nibs. I'm glad to see Bobby trying some new things. Have you tried the Wing Sung 630 14k nib?
Ответитьfriendly reminder:
Adding a small amount of dish soap to the ink can increase the ink tension, which is specially designed to lubricate dry and poor flowing fountain pen inks in order to increase flow and reduce railroading in flex pens.
Thanks for the review,Chris! Bobby makes great nibs. I have a couple of Bobby mini-fude nibs that are a lot of fun on the Jinhao 51A.
Writing with a soft/flexible nib is not my cuppa;but,I love seeing the Spencerian stuff some artistes can accomplish.
Even the <B> Sailor KoP nib is difficult for me to fully appreciate. My very favorite "bouncy" nib is still the <M> Pilot E95S,which was the first gold nib I ever owned. I want to try out a Platinum nib sometime. I love the Preppy!
I went to Bobby's store and you get a very detailed explanation. It says that the cuts on the sides of the nib are asymmetrical. I wonder if it would affect the writing if one is left handed.
The ink capacity would last me a year. Wow!
I am seriously considering this nib and pen.
Thanks for the demonstration, Chris.
😇🩵🙏🙌
ОтветитьWow, indeed! Drying times must be impressive, too. Looks like a pen you'd keep at your desk with that incredible amount of ink
in it. Carrying it around doesn't seem like a good idea. Bobby does great nib work; his mini-bent nibs for hooded pens are my
favorites. Thanks, Chris!
Thank you, Chris.
I like this pen. Never had a flex nib but I love the #8 in the X159.
Very nice. The question is what ink to put inside. Maybe some semi Pelikan Edelstein (Topaz?) or Graf von F-Castell (India Red?).
ОтветитьVery impressive nib. Bobby did good. Very nice. Thanks for sharing Chris. Hope all is well.
ОтветитьHave you been using the pen regularly? Does your impression still hold?
