I saw the clean version of this movie on TV. That was enough for me. Right before an episode of Jerry Springer's "my boyfriend got my mom pregnant".
Ответитьat the beginning of the movie, a third man with a shotgun gets into the truck with the Griner brothers. You never see his face, the camera zooms in on his hands gripping the gun
ОтветитьAn incredible film about modern hubris. These guys were so certain they could tame that river. But the sheriff knew better: "Don't ever come back here again."
No worries on that, bud.
I was a deputy sheriff for over 30 years. Mr. Dickey played it right down the line.
ОтветитьDid he roll up that window manually?! 🤣
ОтветитьBeen forever since I first, and last, saw this film.
What happened to Burt Reynolds charscter?🤔
Movie is very realistic...you can believe it could all happen
Ответитьnow they grow weed in those areas
Ответить"Dont ever do nothing like this again". Roflmao. Im pretty sure they wont.
ОтветитьI floated that river and camped where they camped. I’m glad the water was low.
ОтветитьI see the sheriff on the thumbnail with the words: "don't come back here" and just below Dora the Explorer with her friend boots in the forest XD
ОтветитьThe sheriff here reminds me a little of jake busey in the hitcher 2
the plan of this scene reminds me of Oliver Stone's directing style in Natural Born Killer
Wasn't the sherrif the actual writer of Deliverance?
ОтветитьNot "he'll probably come in drunk" but "he'll come in drunk probably".
Ответитьthe crickets in the background...that old V-8 firing up. lots going on here.
Ответить"you don't know nuthin..." 😁
ОтветитьTo see him walk to his car without being sore
ОтветитьAccording to Burt in his biography, Dickey was a total a-whole so they threw him off the set and only invited him back at the end to play this scene.
ОтветитьThis movie doesn't get near the credit it deserves. It is truly an american classic.
ОтветитьThis movie shows the hypocrisy of privileged people. They look down on hillbillies yet they are the ones creating mischief and acting like fools.
ОтветитьIf America had towns like this in 2023 the crime rate would be better.
ОтветитьI never understood how they were going to explain to everyone back home what happened to Drew. I’ve never read the book.
ОтветитьBend over and squeal like a Pig 🐖 !!!!
ОтветитьA true horror story.
ОтветитьThe sherriff was James Dickey, major poet.
ОтветитьStill smiling after being assed
ОтветитьThe sheriff was cast very well and nailed this part. His expression and tone says it all
ОтветитьThe Sheriff knows that the men they killed were pure evil. He has to do his job but he also knows the good deed they did
Ответитьthese boys is lying.
ОтветитьHow wild is it to see James Dickey just roll into a part like that, not being an actor. He was clearly so close to the characters, he didn't need acting experience. He knew it.
ОтветитьHe needs to say that to Danny Dillard after he holds us in unexpected captivity. After breaking out the acoustic, serenading us ...no forewarning.Just springs it on you .
ОтветитьI love the intensity of the stare down between the sheriff and Jon Voigt here. I think this scene is the most intense in a very intense movie.
ОтветитьDickey's novella is unforgettable.
Ответитьno words at how bad voight was in this, and how good the others were. Cardboard comes to mind.
ОтветитьDickey is the definition of menacing. What an all-world talent
ОтветитьMost people are too afraid of offending people or afraid of how it would look if they ran away. They should of ran for the canoe as soon as they saw those men in the woods.
ОтветитьHank shrader is pretty scary here! 😂
ОтветитьEd's transformation.
ОтветитьWit until they turn this into a Netflix series
ОтветитьYou ain't gotta tell me twice, sheriff.
ОтветитьI love this scene. After all the searching, drama and accusations, the sheriff quietly and casually just walks up to him and asks him a simple question. “How did you end up with 4 life jackets?”. You could see he was looking right into Ed’s eyes to see if he was shaken. Ed answers with conviction and the sheriff has nowhere left to go, except to warn him not to come back.
ОтветитьToday Commemorates James Dickey's 100th Birthday <3
ОтветитьIs that Hank shrader? LOL
ОтветитьCountry joe & the wish. We'll be lucky to get outa town.
ОтветитьDickey is amazing in this scene.
ОтветитьExtra judicial killing and people taking law into their own hands is just part of life in that region, especially 50 years ago. Probably isn't the first "disappearance" this sherriff has turned a blind eye towards.
ОтветитьWhy did the sheriff have a right hand drive car? Lol
Ответитьi just recently watched this movie, i don't know why i expected something different, like the hills have eyes, i'm so glad i was wrong, this movie is a god damn masterpiece, grounded af
ОтветитьI saw this movie as a kid in Iran on VCR that is ; and i fell in love with that Burt Reynld dude, that crush was one of the reasons i later moved 2 USA Hollywood;ca--
