What does a gun look like that actually scores less than 4 points?

A requirement on the 4999 form I stumbled over last one is in Section III. Length of Pull - w/Accessory in Rear most "Locked Position". The way the document the proposed rule is written is that you may not have to measure a length of pull at all if there is no brace. This meaning you can use an extended AR-Type pistol buffer tube and not get penalized again in the Attachment Method. I seriously throw up in my mouth every time I read this proposed rule. From a technical document review its a total joke, inconsistent, arbitrary and an embarrassment to our constitution which protects a law abiding US citizens right to defend self, family and home. Good Grief.

I read the Proposed Brace Rule Change twice. I have many comments also. One I would like to expand on is why in Section 3 Peripheral Accessories 1 point counts for the "Presence of Rifle-type Back-up / Flip-up Sights / Or no sights". Without sights it is still 1 point? I really appreciate your input and I started my comments yesterday. You have read and understood this well. I have seen many other videos and a lot of them hosts have not read the document, they just focus on headline news and blast off from there. They really need to invest the time to understand the meat and potatoes here. Step up everyone! and take this seriously.

This would also make it illegal to make "other" firearms with a brace period

They also talk about holding the firearm with a single hand(as defined by pistol in the regulations) but who is training people to shoot a pistol with a single hand

12-26 inches....if you don't have a 7.5 inch upper on your AR pistol you won't even pass section 1. A 7.5 with a fully extended stock is right at 26 inches

The ATF is REQUIRED to RESPOND to EVERY comment they accept to review (no cussing, no copy & paste, etc.)

Thank you for breaking this down in video form. It's always interesting to hear you nuanced perspective as an experienced designer. I'm amazed that the ATF thinks they can make us jump through all of these vague hoops, while the whole premise of the ATF's existence is entirely unconstitutional and illegal in the first place.

A brace is not a stock. No matter how much they want it to be. No matter how good or bad it is for shouldering. No matter how much they wish it was true. Its not. A thing designed for a specific purpose can be used in what ever way I the end user wish to use it. They have already lost the battle in court a few years ago. I read an article on ttag with a gun matching their shit example and they were told to fuck off by a guy using a court appointed attorney. They won because these rules in practice are unenforcible. They know that. They are only going to use these rules if they can hemm someone up. They want it to he vague so they cant be picked apart.

Really wish people would stop thinking rules and regulations like this are in good faith by the govt. Don't comply, if you try to play their game you lose.

P.S. you said it appears compliance is impossible or subjective... this is intentional. They will not enforce it heavily at first just get it in and comfortable and then ramp it up as time goes on.
