A very detailed guide. Whole Green Aqua good job. 4 years ago my adventure with aquascaping started from your films. When I started, my knowledge was based on my childhood memories, i.e. cryptocoryne gravel and guppy. Now I build a few tanks a year and I want to say Thank you guys for knowledge end inspiration.❤
ОтветитьI've only been in the hobby for a few months and I haven't been having a great time; as a beginner, I'm starting the battle against algae, even though apparently all the parameters are in order and I only use ADA fertilizers. However, thanks to this excellent video, it's clear to me that there's a lot, a lot to learn and improve. Thank you very much and congratulations!
ОтветитьWhat's the score with pH buffers that stabilize pH at 6.5? Seems too good to be true?
ОтветитьUsing RO water, weekly 50% water changes. but have a huge amount of Frodo rocks which increases my Ph. How do I safely lower pH to 6.8?
ОтветитьMy tap water is soft. PH 6.5 and TDS is 135, KH 1 and GH 3. But when using ADA soil my PH drops to 5.5 and then goes lower with co2. What would you guys do in this instance? Just leave the PH? Or try and raise it? One tank has syriu stone so this one is fine, but another has dragon stone so the KH/PH remains low.
ОтветитьVideo molto interessante, grazie
ОтветитьI ran into trouble when I replaced my filter. I changed an internal filter with a nice big canister, making sure to bring the media across. I was dosing relatively lightly but things had been going well. A week later some plants started melting. Another week and lots of plants were melting. What happened was the new filter had come with a phosphate absorbing pad and I installed it. Phosphate levels went to zero. I.was dosing very lightly and only adding tiny quantities of food for a handful of tetras so I only
ОтветитьHi Tommy, it was much easier for beginners like me and others subscribers like me to can download a pdf with all this information to keep safe under aquarium and check. Are to much good information in this video 😢
ОтветитьGreat video as always Mark! 🎉 I wanted to ask how you prepare the branches and stones before you put into aquarium. Disinfection process is very interesting for such setups.
ОтветитьI have tap water tds 120-130 ppm :)
ОтветитьTommy, how's studying Italian going? 🤣
Video utilissimo, sei stato molto chiaro nella spiegazione. Sto iniziando a farmi una cultura grazie ai vostri video e a sperimentare con un piccolo acquario. Per poi passare a qualcosa di più grande! Complimenti!
Tommy is legend. So simply explained Top TOP TOP
ОтветитьIncredibly helpful video. Thank you.
ОтветитьAwesome video, thank you!
ОтветитьGreat lesson in water parameters Thanks love this channel
ОтветитьThis is exactly the information I’ve been looking for regarding water parameters, water testing, and fertilizing planted tanks. All in one place!! I’ve finally been able to create a target set of water parameters and a fertilization schedule that reaches those targets. Now I feel I have a confident baseline to use when there are problems with my plants or “tenants” to be able to confidently identify and correct the problems. THANK YOU!
Ответитьit's very interesting and value material
ОтветитьVery cool
ОтветитьSzuper videó! Köszönöm!
ОтветитьTanks
ОтветитьVery well done Tommy, I wish the topic would have been broken down the way you have done it some twenty years ago when lean (ADA) and rich (EI by Tom Barr) popped up about the same time. Thanks for an easy to understand lesson. Even Vicky with glasses on her nose added up super nicely 😊 to the quality of this video.
Thanks again and keep the good things rolling...
I have been struggling with water parameters and found a rid but I didn’t know. That the GH should be higher then the KH! I had changed my kH to 4 and GH to to 3 to try and keep TDS down. So after watching this my target will be GH 4 and KH 2. When I demineralized my weekly exchanged I did this and my TDS was 149 perfect! I have been keeping a planted aquarium for several years and still learning thing all the time. I love these videos you guys rock! I am in the USA and would love to come see your gallery and meet you guys!
Ответитьwe are in 2023 we need an automatic measuring devise and automatic dosing devise, that would be cool!
ОтветитьRewatched this while doing my tap water test! Kh 1, gh 4, ph 6.5 with tds 56. My neocardina need a little extra minerals but my corydoras love my tap water!
ОтветитьFor frodo stone? GH/KH+ or GH+? Thanks Green Aqua!
ОтветитьWhere can I buy that Ph controller like the one in your video
ОтветитьAre remineralizers and Fertilizers the same thing? Im confused a little bit. So I do a water change with RODI water, then add my KH/GH Plus till my TDS is around 120-150ppm. Or...if im using fertilizers... do i need to dose the ferts till i get to 120-150ppm and Kh/GH Plus isnt needed?
ОтветитьEncore une belle vision de l’Aquascaping
Vouloir tout tester et tout contrôler n’est jamais bon
La nature ne se contrôle jamais
Elle fait ce qu’elle veut
Observons là et adaptons nos comportements c’est la seule chose à faire
Hi from France 🇫🇷
What scale are you using when measuring GH and KH? I measure in degrees of hardness.
dGH and dKH
wow. why didn't I take chemistry in high school. no wonder my plants always melt in my aquarium. I am an idiot!
ОтветитьThank you so much
ОтветитьIf we rely on the TDS measurement of water parameters and it says that the value of the measured water is 120 ppm, what does that say, what are the values of GH and KH in that case?Hello from SERBIA
ОтветитьThank you! I am starting this journey coming from Hydroponics and I happy to see there is some crossover of information about water parameters that cause nutrient lockout similar to the hydroponics root zone.
ОтветитьI disagree with A LOT of what he said. Like why bother testing kH? Because once you know your kH, which, unless you mess with RO water, will be pretty much constant from tap, you will be extrapolating your CO2 ppm. Saltwater aquarists obsess with measurments. Sometimes it becomes more about the sump and controller and automation than composition in the display. So.. measure if you feel like it. Knowing the stats of your setup and seeing them change as you tweek the system is one of more satisfying parts for more technical people. Notice how aquascaping is male dominant? Guess why..
ОтветитьI lie what you’re saying it’s just to technical for me. Stay safe
ОтветитьHi , if I may have 1 question. I bought JBL Mg/Ca Test for salt water by mistake. Can I use some bottles or some content of it somehow for fresh water, delute it somehow to use it for Mg testing let's say ? Or there is just throw it away. I can't return it to the shop because I've already opened bottles before I noticed my mistake. Thx
ОтветитьYou have beautiful eyes 👍
ОтветитьHi, how can I increase the GH/ TDS with ADA product? Many thanks👍🏻
ОтветитьAfter 5 years with fert, nutrients ratio is important, thats reason why some ppl cant grow plants, if u can just pump a ton of fert in tank and plant grow, ppl wont struggle like that
Ответитьhaw beter fertilized my planted tank if i have hard water, lot of minerals....?
ОтветитьMy TDS meter shows me 375 ppm I have tap water aquariums
ОтветитьReally helpful video, thank you so much for this one 🙏
Ответить👌
ОтветитьYou’re so wise Tommy!! :D Grazie per i preziosi consigli
ОтветитьWhen I do a water change with ro water do I reminerlize the ro water once in the tank or in the bucket before it goes into the tank?
ОтветитьThank you for your great video.
is it useful to turn off the light and Co2 in order to fix the algae?
Excellent video, the material is complex, but it was interesting to listen and write down the details 😀
ОтветитьLove green aqua. Best information give these guys.
