I’ve just bought the Cloudboom and I’m hoping they give me a little extra.

3 pairs of ON's. Comfortable and reliable. Only pain the arse is the cloudtech gaps, stones can get stuck in them making you stop to take them out, sometimes takes a while! Not good for races!

Does the money really justify the speed gains? How significant of a performance advantage do top shoes bring? Would also be cool if GTN did a science video / comparison of various shoes, similar to what they've done with different tiers of bikes.

It's the Pebax foam that makes the Vaporflys fly. Unfortunately, everyone just pushes the carbon plate aspect because it's something that sounds expensive.

Generally On are quite firm in all models, even the highly cushioned models are still considered a firm-ish feel. Is this the same with the Echo?

Really wish GTN would ditch the adverts and instead give an honest unbiased review of products be they positive or negative, anything else serves only GTN and not their viewers. If brands want exposure on GTN they should put their brands on the line and be subject to proper scrutiny instead of purchasing a video advert.

Nice video. ON has good looking shoes and I certainly think they spent hours on engineering. My experience? Time ago I bought a pair of Cloudstratus, back then was their super cushioned shoe. I retired them after 350 km because they had no cushioning. So I hope they did something about the foam because I would not run a half marathon (again) in such a hard shoe.

I really like my Cloudace. Actually ran a trail half marathon in them on Saturday. Surprisingly very good grip.

Seems strange an ON athlete would use a Next% in an Olympic Trial rather than this shoe. I presume they are just marketed well rather than being that good
