Elden Ring's Lore ► Explained!

Hmm... a lot like Naruto. There's this tree implanted by alien beings...

So, here's my take on it. You all know shabiri's grapes right. That's a direct reference to an indian mythology called Ramayana. In it, There's a princess called shabiri or shabri as u want to pronounce it. So, the god or protagonist of Ramayana, Rama or Ram, ate shabri's half eaten grapes. It's a noticeable act as shabri, being a princess, was a tribal lady and Ram was a prince of the biggest nation Ayodhya. Of course this can be seen as a reference material for george r.r martin or maybe even Miyazaki.
Connecting this part to another mythological story, we follow Shiva, he's the Destroyer and one of the main gods in trinity. He married Parvati, another princess, and it is said that Shiva and Parvati are one. Shiva and Parvati are half part of one another, you can also find many pictures of this on google. They both had children.
The point I'm making here is, they both loved each other and are considered half of each other. And Marika says to Radagon that he is yet to became her i.e, fall in love with her. Radagon loved Rennala and left her to become the elden lord, as he wanted power or god hood. Marika, as she casted Godfrey away, needed someone else. So, she accepted Radagon. And because of their unpure love they had children with disabilities. But over time Radagon actually fell in love with Marika.
The sculpture, maybe, saw Marika and Radagon felling in love with each other. And hence, he made the sculpture of Radagon being Marika herself, depicting lord Shiva and Parvati.
Well, this is just a theory that I came up with.

thank you, I breezed through dialogue my first play through and know the shadow of the erdtree is coming soon. knowing the lore now or at least the jist of it makes me want to start a fresh playthrough and ngl, since I beat this game I have been in a video game deficit. When I played I did not realise there was a twist, in fact I basically didn't even understand who I was fighting or why I was fighting them 99% of the time!

Elden Ring's "lore" is like trying to make out the logo of a death metal band.

I came here a year later to say "Fuck those lobsters."

I was shocked by how lazy the devs were at the ending of the game. Margit has such cool dialogue, but Radagon..nothing. Marika...nothing. They could've made the ending much more shocking or beautiful or whatever. Fumbled the ending in my opinion.

If death is removed from The Lands Between, how come I can kill this Dog?

I've never enjoyed fromsoft games, despite trying repeatedly, but this is such an enjoyable way to experience really interesting lore.

Maybe the Erdtree draw Radagon to Marika after Godfrey left the lands between.

Raddagon and Merika's open ended story being the same person or two persons being fused. Perhaps, FromSoft's intended them to be a sort of like the Trinity (as in Christianity), but instead of Trinity its "Duanity". They are two separate beings in their own right but also one and the same, two gods thriving in God.

This video is wrong, the outer gods have already infiltrated the Lands Between by the time the story of the game begins. Their second favorite pastime is watching the pitiful demigods fight against the barrel rolling tarnished, the first one being roaming the lands disguised as lobsters

It’s almost always the lobsters… but then there are the dogs. And not the Caelid huge ones, but the small ones. I have a colossal sword build at lvl 150. And those GODDAMN dogs always dodge my sword and kill me

My theory is that Marika made Radagon, somehow, as an alter-ego to make allegiance with Caria and the sorcerers, but as time went on he kinda "gained sentience" and was genuinely loyal to the Golden Order instead of fake-loyal like her.
I think Marika might have made him with red hair to differentiate him from herself, and he hated it because he knew red hair is related to the Fire Giants.

Radigon is miakia whenever they fused during the shattering.

Even though radigon wasn’t miakia when he created his children. Us assuming that outer gods powers follow time is a bit presumptuous. Especially when the outer gods themselves helped form the laws of the world we are in.

Therefore the reason radigon was able to produce demigods, and was able to hold back the golden order wasn’t because he was already miakia, but because he would eventually become her.

I think that is why the player character is able to become Elden lord because time for outer gods does not exist. Even though you don’t start as an elder god you always were one

Genuine question, why you made no reference at all to the One Great ? What was his role before the greater will sort of took over our world.

What I still don't understand is what the rune of death DOES, like with Marika taking it out of the elden ring, did it make it so demigods can't be killed ? Or does it extends to humans ? Did it make everyone immortal or just made it so gods and demigods were harder/ impossible to kill ? Cause during the shattering some definitely died, and the rune of death was sealed the whole time. And what about the gods we kill ? The rune of death is still sealed but they die ?

Wish our character could speak. It would’ve added a more immersive layer to the huge world they already built
