I always liked how they filmed in from two separate points of views. They had it from the band’s mind eye point of view. The elegant cotton club mojo. And occasionally they’d switch between what was actually happening. That may not have been what was intended but that’s always what I took from it. Often the point-of-view from stage is so far from reality. Maybe I’m dead wrong so don’t correct me if I am.

Came here after watching the movie Joyride, such an amazing and underrated movie...starring the talented Olivia Coleman.

I just adore that "movie" shows how wide the "canyon" between Merl Haggard country soup and the Chicago Blues is since 1975: more than a 1000 miles

Cab was 73 years old when this movie was made. He truly was a legend we didn’t deserve. RIP
