ОтветитьLooking forward to seeing this..... and so is my daughter.
ОтветитьMost ridiculous television I've seen in a log time. I believe in equal opportunity. Equal outcome is just wrong. There's a perfectly good explanation why men dominate engineering positions, song writing, playing instruments, etc. And a perfectly good explanation why women are better at nursing, caring, academics, etc. Men and women are different. We have different passions and different tools to work with. Doesn't mean that a woman or man can't be at the top of a traditionally opposite gender field. Don't expect to be surrounded by the same sex when working in those careers.
Anyone who's priority is their career vs their children isn't fit to be a parent. By the time a child turns 5 they better have had good parenting and social development or chances of a healthy, happy, productive life is slim.
If she can write hit songs then any record label will be more than interested.
Look at the number of young female drivers vs male for example, university graduates, bread winners....the modern world is their for the taking. Masculinity isn't a priority for many careers and men are really struggling with finding purpose and meaning. We're not longer able to hunt, explore, use muscle, which is what we're good at and men are suffering. Women should be "wearing the pants" in most families because they're better at managing the home.
I was taught that men and women are equal. That is what I believe but the truth is men and women are different. We deserve equal opportunity. The future is very bright for women in the western world. It's not so bright for men. I'm worried about men in the west moving forward. The suicide rates are much higher for men.
The documentary showed statistics in the music industry but it failed to show how the same statistics are increasing or decreasing. ..for example : number of women producers, musicians. It's not going to happen overnight.
I read recently that there are more young female guitar players in America than young males and that blew me away...it does makes sense to me though. Once women were given better opportunities or it became socially acceptable they would naturally start to dominate things they are better at.
Give it some time....maybe the music industry will be better represented by women someday but if you expect women to fill 50% or more of the engineering roles then your dillusional. We're machines and we're programed to behave a certain way...we can program ourselves to change our behavior. If you're good enough to be a producer, writer, musician, engineer, then you will be.
The real world only cares about one thing and that is money not gender. Hopefully wisdom, spirituality and kindness will someday replace wealth as what makes one powerful in the community.
do anyone know where I can watch this online? I am writing my college dissertation on this topic in performing arts. would be most helpful x. my professors have tried finding it but alas.
