I know that music.
ОтветитьAfter twelve years, still nice to see.
Sure a lot has changed since in FMA, particularly in Escrima and Arnis, but Kali sticks mostly to the Base and their roots in Panantukan and solo/double Baston. And its great and so much important to repeat this basics even if you are high rank student or master.
keep up the great work and spirit of FMA
Mabuhay to all Escrimadores and practising fellas out there.
Way too complicated to b used in a real fight
ОтветитьMy kind of Style👍👍👍👍🥋🥋🥋🥋💯💯💯💯
ОтветитьYou don't seriously believe that it works agains a real fighter
Ответитьso much here...
keep watching it over and over
thank you
Not gonna lie this was recommended to me
ОтветитьThis is some great work. If your not skilled enough you won't have the speed to quickly execute these techniques Which will allow your opponent to slip out and counter attack.
ОтветитьYou will never trap/catch a knife wielding arm in a fight as it's flailing about. Don't even try it.
ОтветитьThat is not the move of kali
ОтветитьAwesome
ОтветитьI think techniques need to be a bit varied depending on your opponent like if you are up against a smart and well-trained one or even just someone physically larger and stronger, you probably will think twice utilising some risky and complicated moves. You gotta go for the kill the soonest you can like going for the eyes or just run away.
ОтветитьNakakamis to Doc ah musta kana.
Ответить🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
ОтветитьI learned arnis from a young age by my father and godfather who migrated to Hawaii after World War 2. Later traveled while in the military learning more from other people, styles and system. After retiring I moved here to the Philippines, Cebu to be exact I thought in the states and Europe was was high speed training, well it is but you should come to the source. They got it in high gear here. But keep training be safe and God Bless! I hope you all could make the journey here to the Mother Land, All martial Arts is good, it depends on the practitioner.
ОтветитьIs the guy in black a police officer?
ОтветитьKALI and SILAT...if you take LI and SI...from the two words...it is KALAT....kalat ng moves pg di pro ng demontrate...infairness may isang pwedi na...praktis pra ma perfect..👍
ОтветитьBut I'm not sure about Kali empty hand against knife attacks. Knife attack on the street is not just a single-action movement. Just like wild street punches, they will stab you multiple times successively. So I don't think a kali empty hand flow wont work. I'd rather have a stick or a lead pipe at hand, or if possible escape. Or better yet, pull out a gun.
ОтветитьI look at these kinds of videos all the time, and the keyboard warriors fucking kill me every time. These are techniques developed for fighting warfare and were used to great effect in history. It would not have been practiced or developed if it had no use so stop trying to sound like you know everything. The key with any martial art is not the martial art itself, but the mostly the skill of the practitioner. I guarantee you that if any of you keyboard warriors went to pick a fight with a skilled kali practitioner he would break you in half in just a few seconds. Stop acting high and mighty safe behind your keyboard, and put you money where your mouth is.
ОтветитьNice flow work brother!
ОтветитьIf that is not working why Magellan A Spanish whom beheaded using kali technic and win a frontline combat 1850's during lapulapu leadership..... even japanese era that time Filipinos fighter only 1500 whos killed moreover 4000 japanese soldier. What say General MaCArthur " give me 10'000 Filipinos and i wiil conquered the world". That technic are usable what ever type of martial arts 😠😂
ОтветитьPeople think this MA is for MMA or some shit. It might work if you’re really good at it. This MA is more like a close range fights. I’ve seen my friend used this MA in a fight and that was pretty sick cuz he finished him in a second and he almost break his opponent’s arm.
ОтветитьKali and Silat does work. The reason it doesn't work in MMA is because of distance. Kali/Silat is more for close quarters combat similar to how jkd and wing chun work. In a mixed martial arts cage you have freedom of movement, in buildings and tight corridors you do not. Some of the best security and special forces units use Kali and Silat. It is deadly effective in the right situation.
ОтветитьThat’s too unrealistic. I’ll stick WC. Lol!!!
Ответитьbj 창현이냐
Ответить😯😯
ОтветитьAnything can work in fighting if you make it work simply practicing isn't enough you have to own it and be able to pull it off correctly otherwise it's completely useless knowledge
ОтветитьWow this video got raided and trolled by some keyboard warriors from 2 or so years ago. Tons of idiots leaving negative comments. They should go to the Philippines and prove it.
ОтветитьWow an old video and very cool. I need partners to practice all this stuff with. I only know the basics when I was in the Philippines with Gerald.
Ответитьnice hands n arms wrestling.. how it works to a stronger opponents..?
ОтветитьAll I have to say is when are we going to stop with the demos with always using the first punch ? When do we do restiance like the dog brothers?
Ответитьkat mana ni? area pj or shah alam ada ka?
Ответитьmakapag enroll dn
ОтветитьPanu po mag enroll sa inyo po sir
ОтветитьGooood
Ответитьyou guys are morons an attacker with a knife is not going to be scared. not until you can and do protect yourself. but at the beginning the attacker isn't not going to hold back.
ОтветитьIf any of this worked, it would be in the UFC. Muay thai and jiujitsu works, everything else is bullshit
ОтветитьYall look like a pretty chill training group.
Ответитьhahaha Moro warrior still the expert of kali.... this guys are just doing a very basic kali.... moro warrior will just play at you..... bangsamoro warrior are still practising kali.... start from 7 yrs old .... :) kali is a close combat... more effective if u r using small kriss in maguindanao ''panabas'' or gelat'' also malong is a great defense and weapon of kali ... kali is a standard used of MILF elite force :)
Ответитьahhh fair enough, apologies~
ОтветитьJust making a point - FMA's are old, and have actually survived into modern times and modern martial application with their integration into several military forces. Battlefield and street tested gives me a pretty high opinion of them. I have survived having both knives and guns pulled on me. Changes one's perspective.
ОтветитьActually kali is an older art than wing chun. Ng Mui lived between 1662–1722. Magellan was killed in the Philippines by Datu Lapu Lapu where kali was described by a Portuguese writer and sailor in the book Suma Oriental 1512-1515. Kali and silat were brought the islands when they were part of the Majapahit Empire - 1293 - 1527. They are branches of Kalaripayattu.Shaolin kung fu dates to the 16th - 17th century, with the Bodhidharma legend at least.
ОтветитьYeah. That's what I meant. Just because I replied to your argument doesn't mean I'm contradicting you. I'm actually adding up to your argument.
ОтветитьI just said bobbing and weaving isn't good in a street fight, read the comment properly before replying.
ОтветитьNot to mention Wing Chun is actually older, and is only similar in regards of trapping techniques.
ОтветитьA video by a guy who's never been to a knife fight either? Now that. Is. Bullshit.
ОтветитьBobbing and weaving? Looks good in boxing, but in reality, it's the best way to absorb a powerful knee strike to the face.
