Glad they reached out to try and make sure that everyone was aware of the change. It means a lot when a company goes out of their way to share a change they made to make sure people who care about that difference are aware. Like they said, the average user likely wouldn't care (or even know) if they never went into the case and looked, It's great they set the record straight as quickly as possible.
There are a LOT of companies in the technology space that make drastic changes to products deep into their lifecycle, that drastically change the performance of a product, and never update a spec sheet or tell a soul. Good on them for being up front about it so people have the option to choose for themselves. Being honest and doing the right thing is the first step in being a quality driven company and gaining long term happy customers.
SFX or Mactron?
Ответить? Is a 2.0 R at 60watts better then a 80 or 100watt jpt at 1.5. Looking at a Lasersonly 100 watt unit or possibly an OMtech . Thank you
ОтветитьI bought E series from 4666 with rotary and motorized high adjustment. 7K withought motorized adjustment is too expensive.
ОтветитьI guess I'm confused as to which one of your links is for the better machine...they are both the same price. Thanks.
Ответить50w is $3,000 cheaper than the 60w atm. Is it worth it?
Thank you for your excellent work.
Big fan been watching all your videos , I’m about to get my first fiber laser .. 30watt what one would u recommend ? Budget is $3500 ish , I’ll be doing small items , not too worried about deep etching into metal although I would like to be able to do it eventually
ОтветитьDo you know if you can order the E series from there site? I’ve read you can get a better price direct from them vs Amazon. Seem like the way to go as I don’t know about getting a mactron machine.
ОтветитьHey, thank you for the information, so I could knowingly bargain down the price of my economy 'E' 60W model.
I would appreciate a video about the additional things a MOPA can do vs. the plain, Q-switched laser. How to use those extremely short pulses, and much higher frequency range settings with my MOPA? I understand I can do colors on stainless steel (not really useful I think) can additionally mark some white plastics with black marking and light grey on blacks.
...but somewhere I remember having read that MOPA's blacks can be more black both on steel and aluminum. These blacks what I would need the most. But all the black settings I can find on YT and elsewhere are meant for general fibers, I have not yet found MOPA only black settings. Where are those blacker black MOPA settings? (especially for aluminum) I will try figure it myself out (have my machine only for a week), but it would help me progress faster.
I bought a 60w JPT M7 from SFX at the first of 2022, build date 3/18/22, and I received the E series. Not knowing the difference until I watched this video. They have been doing this longer than just the end of 2022.
Ответитьno problem. makes me trust you and SFX even more
ОтветитьSo is it worth the upgrade to the non E version? Like what can you do with the 2mj version you can't do with the 1.5?
ОтветитьIf you were to choose the 80W version from SFX would that still have the 1.5mW or 2mW pulse?
ОтветитьHey, at least the company reached out and let you know the change was happening so you could make an update instead of trying to sneak it past everyone! That's noteworthy in my book. 👍
ОтветитьSo, it looks like the E version of the laser source still outputs the 2.0J if you get the 80W. Am I missing something?
ОтветитьYou make the point that with the increased price for the "C series" the value is a moot point, what unit can go toe to toe with the unit at the same price point?
ОтветитьThey should do a better job at naming. Make the machines different color snd add a pro moniker on full power laser and actively market the difference between them.
Ответить10/10 for company honesty
Ответитьsad that they were hoping you to review a upper class model and then selling a lower class model, obviously the poeple who were buying theirs knew the difference, gonna get some bad review or returns on that update for sure
ОтветитьDidn’t make much sense unless I’m missing something, to be more competitive they raised prices?
What am I not understanding?
My Laser source is a YDFLP-60-M7-L1-R
ОтветитьWell having purchased the L1 (E series) equivalent it seems I made the correct choice.
I will definitely research my next machine and purchase at least a 100+ watt machine.
Seems the supply chain issue is the elephant in the room here.
Cheers.
So to be more competitive they increased prices? 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Typical Chinese crap btw that 10k laser cost about 500 to build.
ОтветитьCheers! As always 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥
ОтветитьHeh. Funnily enough I've been round this roundabout a few weeks ago ;-) A bit of blame must lie with JPT themselves for not making their model numbering a bit more obvious - for example, the 2mJ version isn't listed anywhere on their site, either Chinese or English - they only list the 1.5mJ version. It was total luck that I actually got the 2mJ when I bought my laser last year - the quote just said a 60W M7, and I didn't know enough at the time to realise there were slightly different versions. I assume that the "power reduction frequency" will be different as well between them, since the average output power must be the same? Anyways, I was half thinking about getting another laser source to have as a spare, but was told by someone on the forums that the 2mJ was discontinued!! However, I checked with JPT themselves, and they confirmed that the 2mJ 60W is most definitely still available.
I'll never understand why they don't just get longer control cables made up to reach the head instead of having to coil ANY of the fiber inside the casing! On mine the fiber was really bunched up (like about 5 turns in a 4" coil, which had a measurable effect on the output power). I made some extension cables for the galvo so the fiber now goes straight out the enclosure, no bends at all. Plus it gives me more flexibility in where to position the laser unit.
Welp, that sucks. Guess I should have bought yesterday. Maybe I'll hold off another year, what a joke. I can tell you're super disappointed with this news.
I'm super disappointed, I was thinking of buying tonight, but not now, 🤦♂️
Well, that just went from being a must buy to I'm going to hold off. 😐 Thanks for the info!
ОтветитьWe appreciate your work. Things happen. Thanks for the update
ОтветитьToo bad. I was considering at 8K but not over 9K, puts it out of my range. Thank you so much for this update.
ОтветитьFantastic. Thank you for the update!
ОтветитьWell that sucks
