Nice build. The clutch on this bike is my biggest issue. Is your Magura hydraulic clutch a universal kit, or bike specific. Would love to see more details on it.

Stake that sprocket lock nut a.s.a.p.
Its real easy to strip the shaft on the wr. Nut gets loose, and it gets destroyed... then you have to split the cases to replace it.

I'd get a skid plate.

The airbox mod won't work so well on river crossings. I put the door back on.

Yeah, the 4.7 IMS is pretty bulky. I'm not crossing any deserts, so the 3.1 would have been a better choice.

Hi, im curious about the rear fairing that covers the exhaust and the cooling deposit. Did you made them or buyed somewhere? I also want that look on my 2007 wr250f

Buying these 250/300 dual sports, spending arse loads of $ to make them 10lbs lighter, gearing them down so rung out at 60mph, and putting knobs on that suck on pavement still doesnt turn them into an enduro bike. It just takes away their ability to comfortably and enjoyably ride to the trails, exploring, take a ride around town, commute. What they were intended for. Iv been there, wasted all the $. After I put the 50/50 tires back on mine, I enjoyed it a lot more. Gearing so an easy 13 to 14t swap suites what u are doing currently. Having an air pump in my pack, drop the psi down to 13 for offroad under 50mph. Air back up to 22 on pavement. Setting your sag properly and learn body positioning so your front doesnt slide offroad. If u know how to ride you can still ride fast offroad but enjoy the bike everywhere else too. So if u are newer to these bikes and like riding around town/backroads, id suggest trying that first. Iv had a lot of enduro and XC bikes, and the most fun I ever have is just exploring desert, logging roads, mnts on mine 250 dual sport.

Nice vid. When you say come alive when modding fueling, what exactly do you mean? I don't have any air box/fueling mods but I do have 13/49 gearing so it sort of feels snappy and lazy at the same time. Thinking of getting it dyno tuned and doing airbox work - but at ~30hp would you say its even worth it? Thanks

Great build! I'm considering getting dirt wheels for my wr250x. Do you think swapping just the front with 19 inch and getting 50/50's would be fun on this bike?

Not sure why a clutch upgrade would be so cool.
I’ll do the gearing change this year & maybe lowering.
Next year I’ll upgrade the engine.

Nice video! I've had my WR since about 2015. Love the bike, haven't really done to much to it other than swap out the tires and eliminate the rear whale-tail fender. I'd never really paid much attention to the gearing or the clutch until I rode my buddies new CRF300L. First thing I thought was, "my clutch really sucks". So now that I know that, had you looked into the RSM clutches before you went with the Magura hydro? The RSMs are still cable actuated but the leverage ratio on them is supposed to be much, much lighter.
