I've been listening to a lot of Malcolm PRIOR to his break with the Nation of Islam... this is so incredibly interesting to see how he has evolved -- NOT changed -- and developed his message & widened his gaze. This speech might be the most poignant speech that relates directly to us in the U.S. in 2023. And you can exchange "black" for any other exploited, marginalized, unrepresented group. Malcolm is correct: there are issues EVERYBODY shares in common. His philosophies can be applied to the struggle of ALL working class people around the world of every nationality, color, religion, language, etc., etc.

Malcolm spoke the truth that black freedom would have to be taken by force just like every other freedom ever. So they killed him and refined their shackles so that the enslaved don't even realize they're still wearing them. But that just means they still aren't free and so the revolution has been postponed.

Today feminism replaced racism as the number one issue by removing the black man from his home and giving white women, hispanic women, asian women job preference, section 8 housing, college opportunities, food stamps etc

the correct solution is the one of middlemanship, in times such as these of globalization, in which self sufficiency in under attack by powerful people. It is both a curse and an opportunity. The solution is to make some money by "opening up stores in their community". Rather than to have a purely closed economy, it is to control the means of production. Malcolm made his speech in the pre internet era, when it made 100% sense. The Chinese have exemplified his thoughts. But, we have to approach the same problem differently.
