I can't imagine the amount of CONFIDENCE Linda must have had to date someone like Paul McCartney, the "cute Beatle" with millions of female admirers at the height of his fame.

56 wasn't very young. The woman had been through menopause. I think she was lucky not to go through the winter of life. Look at paul who is 80 yrs old he looks dreadful but the drugs from his early life and heavy drinking left their mark. Many healthy 80 year old males look younger. Even ringo who gave up drinking early looks a lot younger than Paul.

Of course, linda was his love in hisyounger life. She will always be special. He seems very happy and in love with nancy shervall. He should consider himself lucky 80 yrs of age and married to a younger woman 18 years younger.
She also had cancer 1 year after linda who may have got breast cancer as a result oof her prolific drug habit in her early years. Not all ex drug takers get cancer.

What a lovely woman.. a total contrast to the awful Yoko Ono..

I'm glad I waited till was almost 50 to really give The Beatles a real listen. I've been obsessed ever since. I can watch this stuff all day. I honestly believed The Beatles were just a teen girl band cause I would hear the screaming and it drove me nuts. I was in jail with this guy who would rave on and on about The Beach Boys and The Beatles. Slowly he convinced me to listen to Revolver and Pet Sounds, my life was literally changed the day I listened to those two albums.

I was 18 years old when Linda died. I worried that Paul would become suicidal because of her death. I remember praying for him that he would get through this tragedy.

I don´t like Linda. She is overrated for me. But if she made Paul happy, why not.

What is sad about it? All this was already known! Wonder what the argument on the wedding eve was about. Linda was heavily pregnant with her daughter, who came along 5 months after the wedding, so I suppose she wanted the wedding to go ahead for this reason.

Linda was very much pregnant when they decided to get married. Paul was fond of Linda's daughter, Heather, and adopted her.

I’m kind of amazed that the doctor told Paul how dire the prognosis was, but not Linda. Together, they decided to keep the truth from her.
Maybe they had the best intentions, but I find that terribly disrespectful.

I watched a documentary years ago about There life in it Linda is walking to a coach , in a seen better days , clothes no makeup hair a mess ,it was magnificent to see a woman sure of herself and in a beautiful relationship as to he loves me for me and we our happy 😊 😃

The heading is all wrong….there’s nothing Sad about this marriage. It was LOVE above anything else and….there’s a very special reason they got married just after 8 months. Mary! Amongst all the hyper crap a couple must endure in show-biz…..they collectively were able to distinguish between work and family life. That’s what made them such a model couple. I certainly took their guide on my marriage and the way I raised my kids. Sometimes it’s more than just the music….it’s the guidance in life we need.

They really suited each other. Ideal pairing - one in a million!

True Soulmates

Linda studied fine arts at University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ but quit before she graduated. Paul and Linda owned a 151 acre ranch on the Tanque Verde River in Tucson, AZ and lived there most of their marriage years. The ranch was where Linda died. I have seen their ranch in Tucson which I believe Paul still owns. When I lived in Mesa, AZ my next door neighbor owned a TACK, Vaquero Feed and Livestock Supply, in Tucson very close to Paul and Linda's ranch. That is where Paul got supplies for their horses.
