Update in Stranded Deep Nerfs Consoles Custom Islands!

I get it, even on PC, items will despawn if you have too many. Have loaded IKEA island several times just to scavenge the lanterns over and over. Many of the ones I had placed around my base would eventually despawn. So, like I said, I get it.

Man, I keep hoping for good news and just keep getting slapped by the Devs. Not all of us can play on PC… color me disappointed again. 😔

I know since the update I haven't been able to interact with sales on a boat while I'm steering

new to stranded deep- was surprised there's no in-game map. Okay how about beacons? like in subnautica. nope

Terrible. Basically they just "took away" a big portion of the game. I could explore infinite islands (even though they'd be no surprise). Also, clay & wood is now SUPER limited.

Shame for PS5 players.

Give them a an award for worst dev team, constantly ruining what was once a good game with patches nobody wanted. I play on xbox one, started building a base on aircraft carrier. Patch came along and I cant continue building, "its too close to another structure." Half finished base, not allowed to keep playing, so i sent a ticket. They claimed it was to fix performance issues. I play on an xbox one first gen that struggles on everything else, i have a large half build base already, zero lag or performance issues at all. My rig should be facing maximum possible performance issues for console, its not about performance, it honestly feels like they just dont like people playing certain ways and they want to nerf any experience they didnt directly intend.

I love this game just the way it was.
Granted, I've never played multiplayer, and just enjoyed taking advantage of replacing islands to build up my own tropical paradise. 😢 💔

Can we still get infinite resources

they need to add in game voice coms for console. or even in game message chat for console.

In otherwords they just put there middle finger up to anyone who dosnt want to have to restart every time they no longer have resources

This is a major blow to us long term console players. Custom islands use to allow us to have a infinite world where we could fly everywhere as much as wanted. Build what we wanted (after beating the game ofc, wouldn’t want to ruin it) so now we have absolutely limited fuel and clay. No more fun building.

JUST update the code and PORT IT FOR PS5 and NEXT GEN!!! Like come on. Its not that hard. Time taking maybe but not hard. I would know as a programmer.

I believe they should bring back the custom maps as much as you want. Just put a warning saying too many items may crash the game.
Edit: Maybe a check box. It will say, allow custom maps. Then a warning will pop up and say something like, Caution, too many items may crash the game or world. Then click accept.

I think people would appreciate this. That way if it did crash. We were warned. So it's not the devs fault this way.

If they don't do this, then it will always be limited. Which I understand it's a survival game intended for survival and whatnot but this is not the pc version where we can add any command we want. This is the console version now with very limited options.

I don't care for this fix...... why can I not sit at my rudder and drop the sail or anchor anymore?

Um im used to playing on singleplayer but now I can't switch my custom made islands in and out with one another something about they can't be removed once saved in my save file or world while being currently active in the games current version

Same for me. I loved this game and this change has completely killed it for me. Theirs other games that allow unlimited resources such as Ark guess these people just not as knowledgeable or just lazy.

This broke the game for me. Was thinking about buying it as I am playing on gamepass now, but now it gets a hard pass from me.

I cant get over how bright the lanterns are now. Changes the games entire aesthetic. My perfect Robinson Caruso shelter looks like its lit with LED lights. I dont think I can anymore.

I keep looking for more updates, and am very interested in what their plan is, going forward.
Yeah, I'm disappointed that I can't build a brick castle now!
But at the same time, I'm trying to stay optimistic.

It literally doesn't make sense to do this. No computer can handle infinite items either. Just warn players to be careful about adding and removing islands. And then they should probably work on making more methods for storage to reduce that lag.

So they removed the only way to delete trash mounds... Yay performance boost lol

Just started a few weeks ago I honestly stopped playing just because of this update, saw videos of people building huge bases thanks to the island switch...

Any glitches or ways to revert the update?

Honest too god!! They havnt fixed nothing! 35 days no issues i thought it was fixed but now day 36 its lagging more than i swing my bloody axe. So they remove alot from the game and its still shit hmmm starting too think beam team or uncapable of making a game unfking real

The game basically devolved.. this update actually made the game less fun. Hope the devs change their mind on this one. Wont be back till they do 😭😭

Hardware detection - gameplay throttles to match specs, etc is how it coulda been done. Lets face it, Series X outperforms some PCs and vice versa+ consoles have various flavours....(from one granddad to another .....;-)....) Love your content!!!

Surely the killing of 1400+ fish (that don't despawn) that are floating in my local waters, from levelling my Hunting to Lv 7 are gonna have more of an effect on performance than a static big base that doesn't move or interact with the environment?

All they needed to do, was integrate an entity limit and warning, so when players approach said limit, they get a warning that adding more will cause the game to crash. Instead... they basically killed the editor.

I tried the island making on Playstation today for the first time and was utterly disgusted! I have thousands of hours in the game on PC from the earliest of early access and making custom islands was the biggest proportion of my fun. I couldn’t believe the pathetic blob of dirt I was able to make with the console version. I rarely get a rant on but this is enough to make me trade the game in. I only bought it again yesterday and Im nearly in tears at the disappointment. I can’t play my PC version anymore because I don’t have a PC now. I’m sick at heart. 😪

Horrible update. Ruined the game for long term play. Ive been playing since launch. Its over for me.

As a new player of this game (me and my husband played together a little, thrn I started a solo run because I liked the game so much) that's probably gonna end the game for me. I just wanted more rocks, man, they're so necessary. . .

I would just put all my extra stuffs and empty torches on a farming island and just delete it all with the island. Yesterday I had a dream that was Castle PsAyTko 2.0. Then it got shattered when reality hit me in the face.

This shit is why I don't feel bad for using savewizard ingame. It only works on the single player save though. It won't work on the online save. Also, there's a problem when decrypting the current gamesave. So only older saves will work with savewizard. Anyone know anything exploit wise for the current game version on console?

Instead of NERF in the game like that they could at least give us the option to plant trees for wood and sticks palm leaves. And for stone give us the ability to have a resourceful and renewable stone deposit. Because some people just play to have fun like myself. And not want to complete the game and start over. Shame they just lost my respect.
