ОтветитьHi Bob; I much enjoy your videos. I am a subscriber, and I always hit the like button. lol
I'm leaving a note to try and help you avoid a mistake I made, and learned the hard way.... on your oil filter relocater, use aluminum fittings in that housing. Steel expands at a different rate then aluminum does, when the oil gets hot it expands the steel fittings enough to Crack the aluminum housing. Mine sprayed oil all over the truck.
Dang Skippy that is looking nice as heck man😊
ОтветитьFord explorer oil filter adapter turns the filter down out of the way
ОтветитьLove me some rat rods! Check my model A rat rod out Bob! Thanks for the ideas and tutorials definitely helps out lots
ОтветитьLooks good. This is going to be an amazing ride!
ОтветитьDon’t forget waterholes in the frame. I filled mine with oil and let in run out.

ОтветитьHey Bob have u ever heard of stealit its a paint that can be welded on its called steel it im not sure how its spelled its a neat product
ОтветитьI bet red taught you that.
ОтветитьThanks Bob I’ve learned a lot!!
ОтветитьBob, I had a 302/4BBL in in a 65 Mustang I bought for $150.00 in 77 or so. Originally a 225/ 6 manual, someone just stuffed the motor in with an auto tranny. 4 bolt rims with I'm pretty sure 13" tires maybe 14". so I bought the biggest set of Goodyear Eagles the local shop could get ant fit on it and I had 12 yrs of great times with that car. Woah... I'm back, the reason I started this was to suggest you paint the valve covers Wimbledon (Ford) white and in between the fins Ford Blue. Sorry for the trip down memory lane...
ОтветитьBob love the car. Love your work. So question please? When removing rear transmission mount you unbolt the rubber from trans to drop mount and not remove rubber from mount then slide mount towards the rear of the car to clear plates mounted to frame? I know it sounds as if I am stuck in the weeds with this question but I do plan to build a rat rod some day soon once I have gathered enough to start with and want to learn. It seems to me you might have made a mistake or, I do not get the full picture and I want to. Thank you for sharing all your great knowledge in your school of rat rod idealogicy
ОтветитьAwesome Bob great work 👍🏽👍🏽
ОтветитьBob!!!!…..Why in hell would you go through all the effort to make new engine mounts…..with old crusty engine mounts???. You have a bad habit of cheapin out with used junk…. Dude really??. Sorry…but I have to ask…. Is Dan….from DD speed shop your eligitmate son???.
ОтветитьYou've done a lot of welding on this one thus far. Just thinking about all the time you spend off screen. We appreciate you very much
