Ethan mostly likely did this knowing Annika’s death would be on Sam’s conscience, just in case he failed to kill her or the other Core 4 members.

Anika deserved to die, I mean she was so scared about crossing the ladder but if she didn't she would die anyway. So like I would be freaking traveling that ladder at light speed. All she had to do was hold on to the ladder too and the other people could hold on to the ladder and have her climb. Like so stupid.

I watched scream 6 on a plane while going on holiday and I could feel someone watching through my TV screen when Anika’s death came 😂

Ok, I hated how Anika died.
But let’s just talk abt how stupid she was while it happened.
(This is only my opinion)
So, mindy told her to go, but she couldn’t. Mindy was holding the door, and she was the only one who could cuz Anika got stabbed. And of course they let the most helpless person go last. Mindy should’ve gone first, then Mindy, and last was Sam. But also when she was being attacked on the ladder, WHY WAS SHE SO SLOW! I mean I get that she got stabbed, but like COME ON MOVEEEE! And when I was watching the movie, she could’ve gotten a little closer to Sam before holding her hand. She was too far away. I get that she was stabbed badly, but she could’ve gotten a little more closer but I guess she just HAD to lie down on the ladder.

THIS IS JUST MY OPINION 😅

This scene is pretty brutal. That being said there is something darkly comical about how childish shaking a ladder to kill someone is. I’m probably the only person who reacts this way, because when I was a child, the staff at my school would take out this giant tarp and all the kids would shake it to bounce a ball, which this scene reminded me of. The scene was still so brutal that I didn’t laugh when I saw it.

Her death scene was a bit ruined because she was basically sliced open, so it doesn't really matter if she managed to reach the window or not, she would've died anyway
