Why JVIT

ABOUT JNANAVIKAS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY
Before the inception of JnanaVikas Institute of Technology (JVIT) in 2001, a plot of land spanning 25 acres, in the name of JnanaVikas Vidya Sangha, was bought and donated by Padmashree G.D Goyalji and his/her kin as a contribution towards the establishment of educational institutions in Karnataka.

Mr. D.K. Shivakumar - the Chairman of Global Academy of Technology and an incumbent minister of the Karnataka Government - was the one who took the initiative to start an Engineering College in this place. He played a key role in getting approvals from the state government and AICTE- a national-level council for technical education.

Upon being granted the permission by the AICTE to start an Engineering College, we gradually built brick by brick over the span of 10 years and achieved the state-of-the-art infrastructure that we have today.

We would be failing in our duty if we don’t acknowledge the contribution of Mr. B.J. Honnashetty, Sri Gowrishankar Swamy, Mr. S. Ramashivanna, Mr.M. Krishnappa, Mr. Hanumanthrayappa and Mr.S.T. Somashekar towards the development of this college.
