A good horror comedy of course needs to balance both the scares and laughs effectively, but An American Werewolf in London is unique in how it can instantly shift tones and draw you into the film further. The music cue as Jack goes from jesting with his friend to telling him what he must do to end the Werewolf's curse really makes this scene unexpectedly sad and tragic.
Ответитьpractical effects of the 80s surpass that off todays CGI
ОтветитьThe makeup artist worked on Michael Jackson’s Thriller & won an Oscar in 1982 the year they added the makeup category to the Academy.

I don't think you're dead friend would show up to torment you in such a way, with friends like that who needs enemies. What is the American Westworld jack to do, take his life and end up in a Catholic eternal hell/damnation or worse in a place of torment in hell. Why not have a friend who can teach him to be a lycan of some sort and then immortality is not so bad.
ОтветитьI wanna thank Universal Halloween Horror Nights for introducing me to this masterpiece of a movie
ОтветитьSalami Pizza right up to ya face. Klatsch...
ОтветитьThe cosmetic effects on jack are truly tremendous...
ОтветитьGosh I hate how sad this movie is. They both had such an upsetting ending
ОтветитьI feel bad for David and it’s definitely boring to talk to a corpse
ОтветитьThe makeup director on this film was selected to do Michael Jackson’s makeup on thriller.
This is my favorite seen from the movie; Jack’s glib and David’s terrified.
Can I have a peace of toast pls
ОтветитьI'm surprised after his first transformation that David didn't ask Jack if there was a way he could become human again
ОтветитьThis movie had damn good acting. These two were great together. When he ran back for Jack... 😢
ОтветитьPart of this movies unusual vibe is that Landis couldn’t help but make every movie a black comedy
ОтветитьThis is the worst scene ever!😂 So stupid the dialogs!
Ответитьthis film is quite good.
ОтветитьGod this is still the best werewolf movie ever made
Ответить“Life mocks me even in death”
ОтветитьJack Goodman's one of the most like-able characters in cinematic history. Bravo Griffin Dunne!
ОтветитьJack was surprised of how many people came to the funeral.
ОтветитьThe dangling piece of flesh all these years later is still the best part of that makeup job !!
Ответить"You ever talk to a corpse?? Its boring!" Thats the typical line in my mind in post COVID America.
Ответить"life mocks me even in death"
ОтветитьWhen I saw this scene as a kid I allwise get impressed and also whorried about to see those peace of toast drop down from jack's throat. Damn that would be too much.
ОтветитьDon't you just love Jack's peeling skin?
Ответить"You ever talk to a corpse? It's boring! I'm Lonley"
🥺poor Jack
Wonder how audiences reacted when they first saw this.
ОтветитьYummy
ОтветитьDavid's bacon & eggs looks tasty !!
ОтветитьIts a mask jacks wearing her wears several in this film
ОтветитьI like how Jack breaks off a piece of toast and swooshes it around in the egg yolk. I do the same thing.
ОтветитьI just love the werewolf lore this movie creates. The fact a werewolf in human form is haunted and tormented by the ones they kill. You could create a whole series based on this.
ОтветитьOne of my favorite movies ever!
ОтветитьThe horrifying part is them joking around, it’s too casual it’s uncanny. He is going crazy and Jack keeps screaming his name
Ответить"David, you're hurting my feelings!!!"
Ответитьjack: you should kill yourself
Ответить"You have to kill yourself, David."
"Because of the werewolf curse?"
"No. 'Makin' It.' Let’s face it. A Saturday Night Fever ripoff? It's pretty unforgivable."
"Yeah. That and dueting with Popeye in the 'Be a Pepper' advert. What the Hell was I thinking?!!?"
Still salty about it too buddy
ОтветитьAA classes taught me anything
ОтветитьAt the time i didnt realize this but upon retrospect, i think watching movies like this at the age of 8 might have really messed me up psychologically. It only took about 10 years of studying clinical psychology before i truly linked issues with my personality and temperament to the root cause. I always thought that my dad was so cool for letting me watch whatever i wanted to, but the adolescent mind often isnt capable of comprehending the adult material and stuff like this can really mess a child up. Im far from the type of person to censor people and tell parents what not to do or how to parent their children, but i really think that many parents should read up on Piagetian Child Development and really gain a firm grasp on what kind of an impact adult content has on an adolescent mind and how it can damage their interpretation of reality, warp their understanding of the world and affect their social integration. But damn if i didnt love these kinds of movies. Also, viewing Rolling Vengeance as a heroic moral and virtuous story was probably a misinterpretation of reality at the age of 8 too. Might have taught me that its okay to kill someone if they assault or kill your family. That one may be a touchy subject for folks, even today.
Ответить"LIFE MOCKS ME EVEN IN DEATH"
ОтветитьHave a peas of meat loaf. Jack.😆👍
ОтветитьYo me preguntaba por qué su amigo se le aparece si el no lo mata lo mata el otro tipo
ОтветитьDAVID! LMAO!
ОтветитьLife mocks me even in death...
ОтветитьI Couldnt Eat With Flesh Hanging Off His Face!🥺
