Can You Upgrade the iMac Pro?!

MQ2Y2xx/A I have this model. is it possible to upgrade the SSD on this model

Please tell me: iMac Pro has 4 slots for RAM cards on the motherboard.
By default, there are 4 pieces of 8GB each, if I want to upgrade only two pieces for RAM of 32GB, does it matter in which slots they will be installed? Thank you!

Can you put the newer 2295 or the 22 versions in I know its the same socket but not sure if the software will like it

the prices of these refurbed models are pretty good today .. can the Wifi or Bluetooth modules be updated to an AX? ... or is it hard wired on these iMac Pros? and given the option of buying a refurbed iMac Pro vs the new M1 24" ... which would be the best choice, comparing the two models

Did you get black screen on boot after upgrading the RAM? I’m going from 32GB to 128GB which was pulled from another iMac Pro (and tested its working) but keep getting black screen.

Intel might also lower the clock speed, so the chip is more stable.

Freaking Apple I’ve sent my iMac Pro back at Apple in London with apple care + 3 years warranty for the “famous” kernel bug_type 210 “your computer was restarted because of a problem” and they did absolutely nothing.
They sent it back to me after keeping it for almost 3 weeks and told me to update to Big Sur and Big Sur was not even officially released. I paid 5000 for this computer.
I really HATE apple! Very expensive products, big software bugs and very poor customer service!!!!!!

The only sad thing is that you didn't compare it to windows workstations at the same price point...

So... I am about to upgrade a used Dell T5820 workstation from its original 4 core Xeson W-2123 CPU to the Xeon W-2140B-- Yep, the same model CPU that came with the base model iMac Pro. Got mine on eBay for $175 plus tax. Seems to be plenty of them at about this price on eBay (and the W-2150B for $100 more than that) perhaps because all the people doing DIY upgrades on their iMac Pros?

If I was to put a 64GB upgrade in (2 x 32gb) would i put the dimms in slot 1 and 2 or slot 1 and 3?

So since you can swap out the SSDs with those from other iMac Pros (using configurator on another Mac), and since the iMac Pro SSDs can be put into a Mac Pro, does that mean you can out Apple's new SSD upgrades for Mac Pro (which look identical and seem to have the same connectors), into an iMac Pro? It would be nice to make an 8Tb SSD iMac Pro.

Wasn't the base model iMac Pro only with 256 GB of SSD and only to 128GB RAM upgradable? Now it starts with 1TB SSD and can be configured to 256GB RAM.

That's another reason not to choose Apple. Upgrading. If you want to upgrade YOUR own computer, you void the warranty, that doesn't happen if you build your own PC.
Even if all you want to do is clean the fans, you have that glued on screen in your way, it's a nightmare in computer form if you ask me.

Right. With a PC I have to buy separately a high end Monitor. Whereas within an IMac it comes built in.

So the cost of the new 10 core chip, the new 128g's of ram, all installed was $5 dollars cheaper then apple's Same stock 10core 128g build? that doesn't seem possible as apple over charges each ram stick by like 70 percent. what am I missing?
